You have made a good choice of becoming a chartered accountant. The basic eligibility for becoming CA is to pass senior secondary examination in 10+2 pattern. The first step is to register for CA-CPT. This test is held twice a year in June and December. The next step is to register for IPCC. It is necessary for the candidate to register for compulsory practical training before taking the final course of CA. The candidate should also undergo training in ITT for 25 days from ICAI institutes. You have to clear the final course to become CA.

You can give thje CA-CPT exam after 12th to pursue your career as a CA.For this you'll need to register with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India(ICAI) for CPT after intermediate(12th) having atleast 50% marks aggregate.A candidate will be declared to have passed the CPT if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT Examination, subject to the principle of negative marking. If you clear this first level to qualify this written exam then you move to the next level called IPCC(Integrated Professional Competence Course) which consists of two groups both of which need to cleared. Then you need to complete atleast 3 years of training under a registered CA in any city in India to be eligible to provide a training certificate and be eligible to give the final exam CA-final to become a CA.

    Hi

If you have really interest on charted accountancy then you have to done your 10+2 as a commerce stream.

After completion of 10+2 commerce its very easy to become a Charted accountant. To become a accountant you have to crack the different exams. These exams are held by the different intervals of study.

After completion of 10th you can apply for the competency professional test (CPT).But it is only possible for them to write the examination after finishing their 12th class.

So after completion of 10+2 you can apply for the CPT exam. After cracking this exams then you are eligible to admission in CA.
