    1-educational qualification--you have the graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
    2-age criteria--21 to 30 for general,21 to 33 for OBC and 21 to 35 for sc/st student.
    3-numbers of attempts--4 for general candidate,7 for OBC candidate and no limit for sc/st students.

    so if you have these criteria than you will beeligibile to give the IAS exam.

    And there is no percentage bar in graduation degree for giving the exam.

    You choosen your career to be an IAS officer,its very interseting.You need to work hard to achieve your goal.So to be an IAS Officer you have to do graduation from any field and get atleast 55% marks in it.

    Qualifications Required:

    (i) Age limits :

    21-30 years as on 1.7.2005. (Upper age limit relax-able for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

    (ii) Educational Qualifications :

    Bachelorís degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification...

    (iii) No. of permissible attempts :

    Four (Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.

    So try to get more than 55% in graduation field you will a bright future then.

    IAS is acronym for Indian Administrative Service.UPSC will hold the IAS exam every year.
    These exam is conducted in 2 phases.
    -Preliminary exam
    -Main exam.

    Eligibility for IAS:

    -You have to complete your graduation with 50% of marks in nay recognized university.
    -You age should in between 21-30 years.
    -You should be a citizen from india.
    -Number of attempts:4 for general candidates,7 for OBC candidates and no limit for ST/SC/OBC candidates.

    If you fulfill those qualifications then you are eligible for IAS.

    IAS ( Indian Administrative Service ) is one of the ALL INDIA SERVICE which mainly run the State and Central Government. It is one of the Prestigious post in Indian Government services and controlled by Ministry of Home Affairs.

    UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the Entrance exam for IAS selection.

    Eligibility :

    Educational qualification :

    you must have completed your Degree in any stream with 50% minimum from any recognized university or affiliated colleges.

    Age Criteria :

    you must have minimum 21 years and maximum of 30 years of age , Upper age relaxable for special category aspirants like

    - SC / ST - 5 years
    - OBC - 3 years
    - Defense personnel - 5 years.
    - State of Jammu & Kashmir - 5 years

    Nationality :

    You must be

    - Indian origin
    - Nepal origin
    - Bhutan origin
    - Indian migrated to other country.

    Number of Attempts :

    - General - 4
    - OBC - 7
    - SC / ST - No restriction

    Dude the IAS selection is mainly done in 3 rounds

    No, There is No Minimum percentage is Required to apply for UPSC Civil services examination, Any graduate passed candidates are eligible to apply for this examination !!

    If you are Graduate in any discipline form a recognised University, then you are eligible to apply for UPSC CSAT Examination.

    CSAT Stands for Civil Services Aptitude test, Preliminary examination is also known as CSAT.

    So, Firstly you have to cracked this examination Only then you are eligible to appear for the Main examination. Preliminary examination is the First Stage and this examination is Compulsory for all the candidates, If you cracked this examination, Then you are appear for Main examination, The result of this examination will declared before the Main examination. This examination is Objective Type and there are 2 Papers in this examination and Both are of same marks and Duration.

    Successful Candidates appear the Main examination and You have to choose the subjects in Main examination On the Basis of your Graduation. The list of Optional subjects are availiable in the official UPSC Website.

    Important :

    If you are Belong to General category, then you will only get 4 Chance to cracked this examination.

    OBC Candidates will get only 7 Attempts and No Limits for SC/ST Candidates.

    So, please apply for this examination only when, you are Fully Prepared, Only then you will get success in this examination.

    • And in this you have the No of attempts are also available for General category 4 times/OBCs 7 times/SC/ST No limit .

    Dear, no any percentage is required for applying for IAS exam.
    The IAS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. This exam is for administrative posts for central government departments.
    Educational criteria required for IAS is only a pass degree in any stream from any reputed college.
    Age criteria is 21 to 30 years. Upper age relaxation available for sc and st of 5 years and Obc of 3 years.

    Following is the minimum criteria for appearing IAS examination.
    >>You should be a Bachelor's Degree holder from a recognized university
    >>Your age should be less than 21 and not more than 30.
    The upper age limit is 35 years and 40 years for OBC and ST/SC repectively.
    >>You age attempt this examination atmax 4 times as a OC student.
    7 times for OBCs and no limit for the ST/SC.

    STAGES OF IAS EXAMINATION
    1.CSAT(civil services aptitude test):Preliminary objective examination
    2.Final written test(Subjective)
    3.Personal Interview

    There is no mark requirements for IAS examination

    There are no any limit of percentage is required to appear in the IAS examination only pass the qualifying examination is enough to appear in the IAS entrance examination.So don't worry if you pass the graduation then you are eligible to apply for the IAS examination.

    The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The upper age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates under the reservation category.

    Age limit is not below 21 years. and not more thaen 30 years on 1st August of the year of examination.
    Maximum attempts 4 for Genral, 7 for OBC, no limit for SC/ST.

    Education Qualification:--
    The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other
    deemed University.
    Candidates appearing in the final exam or also eligible. Candidate has to pass the examination and submit the proof before main
    examination.

    there is no percentage cut off required to appear to this exam.
    after completing your bachelor degree ,you are eligible for ias exam.so candidates with professional and technical qualification recognised by the government are eligible for appearing in the ias exam.
    age limit:

    the general candidate get 4 attempts and 7 attempts of obcs and no limit for sc/st candidates.

    There is no marks criteria for IAS exam .Only graduate persons are applicable for IAS exam.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC in once time in year.

    Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

    But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

    The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

    Also you must be in citizen in India.

    Well there is no such percentage bracket mentioned but then it is always preferred to go with a minimum 50%

    in your graduate degree but then you can definitely sit for the exam.

    Minimum percentage required to appear in IAS exam is 55 % in any stream and from any recognised institute. This is very tough exam and you need to work very hard to pass this exam. Age limit for this exam is from 21 to 30 years except SC & ST who are exempted 5 years, OBC-3 years, handicapped-10 years, defence personnel-5 years. It is conducted in three phases-Preliminary exam which consists of two papers, main exam which consists of 9 papers and interview.
