For Union Public Civil Services (UPSC) exams for IAS, IPS, IFS or IES, the minimum eligibility criteria is having a minimum of 60% in higher secondary school (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory streams. There is no bar for 10th standard. If you are a graduate, then also you should possess a minimum of 60% in aggregate marks.

Dear friend, IAS examination is conducted in three stages (CSAT, Pre and interview) by the UPSC for the recruitment of 28 posts nationwide. The educational qualification is a graduate degree from a recognised university and no matter of percentage. Also 10 and 12 class percentage does not matter for eligiblity. The age of the candidate is in between 21-30 years which is relaxed for 3 and 5 years fo OBCs and SC/ST respectively. No. of attempts for general candidates are 4 , 7 for OBC and no restriction for SC/STs.
