    How many years will it take for clerk to get promoted to PO (Probationary Officer) level? What are the required educational qualifications for that?

    hi sir, i want ask you that if one is selected for clerk , after how many years he/she will be promoted as PO? what about education qualification of that.

    Hi aspirant,

    Probationary Officers are those who look after the administrative affairs of bank
    Or any other work that is related to preventing any type of disruption of administration.
    For that bank reason bank requires many PO's to handle its different sections.

    There is certain eligibility criteria which evry interested candidate must satisfy.

    ->Applicant must be of Indian nationality.

    Educational Eligibility Criteria:

    -> The minimum level of education required for PO post is Graduation from a recognized university.

    -> He or She must have at least acquired a percentile of 60%.

    -> For reserved category candidate the minimum percentage required is 55%, it may vary according to the bank.

    -> Applicant must posses knowledge in computer like Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, php.



    Age Eligibility Criteria:

    -> Applicant must be above 21 years of age

    -> Applicant must not be more than 30 years of age.

    -> There is privilege for reserved categories.

    i. There is 10 years relaxation for Physical Handicapped candidates.

    ii. There is 5 years relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ex-service man category.

    iii.There is 3 years relaxation for OBC.


    For recruitment of employees for PO post every year a exam called Common Written Examination by IBPS is conducted.

    It has a preliminary exam and main exam.

    Preliminary exam Pattern:

    Written test
    Personal Interview
    General awareness
    General English
    Computer Knowledge
    Marketing knowledge
    Reasoning
    Quantitative aptitude



    Main Exam Pattern:

    Reasoning Test
    Data Analysis
    Interpretation
    Marketing Knowledge
    English Language Test

    After qualifying the above exam you will be employed as a probationary Officer.
