    NET stands for National Eligibility Test


    UGC conduct the examination twice in a year.
    This examination is conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and Lecturership.

    The exam consist three papers
    Syllabus
    Paper I
    General Knowledge
    Current Affairs
    Aptitude and reasoning
    (It is 100 marks and a objective type paper).

    Paper II
    Core subjects
    (It carries 100 marks)

    Paper III

    Selected core subjects

    (It carries 200 marks)
    (Total marks the paper carries is 400 marks)

    NET exam is near by on 24th June 2012. So all the best..
    You have done M.Com. it means you are giving NET in Commerce field. First Paper would be of General questions from computers, teaching aptitude, bit of GK or current affairs. Paper II & III questions will be from the subjects that you have studied in commerce field like costing, auditing, Business law, income tax, business economics, Financial management, Statistics, Quantitative Techniques, Accountancy (corporate, financial, advance) and many more.. So start preparing for clearing your basics and basic logics behind each and every subject as this time complete paper is in objective form...

    NET exam is a national level exam conducted by UGC twice in a year.
    Subject will different related to different field of student.
    The exam consist three papers

    Paper I
    General Knowledge
    Current Affairs
    Aptitude and reasoning

    Paper III
    Selected core subjects

    (It carries 200 marks)

    Hello Friend

    NET ( National Eligibility Test ) conducted by the UGC to test the eligibility of the lectureship and to award JRF ( Junior Research Fellowship ) for the Indian Nationals to ensure the minimum standards for those aspirants who wanted to enter into teaching profession.

    CSIR ( Council of Scientific and Industrial Research ) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for the Science background students, the tests are generally conducted twice in a year in the months of June and December.

    Eligibility to appear NET :

    Education :

    you should have completed your Master's Degree in streams like Environment science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences, Forensic sciences, Humanities and Social sciences or any equivalent degree in the respective fields with minimum 55% marks ( 50% for SC/ST ).

    Age
    :

    There is no upper age limit to appear for the NET for lectureship, if you wanted to apply for JRF's then your upper age should be 28 years.

    Age relaxation for JRF's is there upto 5 years for SC / ST / PH / Women candidates and also those who spent their time in research provided the necessary documents.

    You have to choose only one subjects in NET Examination and the question asked from that particular subject only. You have to choose the subjects in NET on the basis of your Post Graduation Only. If you have complete your M.Com course, then you can opt Commerce subject in NET Examination. There are 3 papers in NET Examination, First paper is general paper and compulsory for all candidates, But last 2 papers is basically asked from the subject which you select.

    NET stands for National Eligibility test and this examination is conducted by UGC, Twice in a year. The examination is Conducted in June and December Every year. To apply for this examination you have to fulfill the given eligibility :

    ~~ You have to complete your Post graduate degree course from a recognized University
    ~~ You have to scored minimum 55% Marks in your Post graduation
    ~~ Final year appearing candidates are also apply for NET Examination.

    Age Eligibility:

    ~~ You have to attained the age of 19 years to apply for this examination.
    ~~ There is no upper age restriction to apply for Lectureship post
    ~~ Your age should not be more than 28 years to apply for Junior Research Fellowship post.

    If you have fulfill all these eligibility criteria, then you are eligible for NET Examination.

    For this year NET Examination Notification was published and the examination is going to be held soon in this month i.e on 24/June/2012.

    If you are Interested in this examination, then please wait for December NET Examination Notification.

    The Notification will be declared soon in the month of October. Eligible candidates may fill the application form online only. You have to pay the fees of Rs 450 through challan form in SBI Bank. After filling the application form online, you have to print that application form and send it to the respective centers. The list of centers is available in the official UGC Website.

    you can apply by downloading teh bank challen from in triplicate (bank copy,

    and candidates copy from teh UGC website than you have to deposit the test fees in branch of state bank of india with bank charges rs.20.

    application fees cost
    • if you are belong to the general candidate than you have to pay rs.450.
    • if you are belong to the OBC CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.225
    • if you are belong to the PH/VH/SC/ST CANDIDATE than you have to pay rs.110
