Hi friend,

Previously there were only 10% of the total seats reservation for Diploma holders in Engineering,but now according to the new rule of AICTE,there will be 20% of the total seat reservation for Diploma holders in Engineering admissions.

For eg:- If a College is having 60 seats in ECE trade,so according to the 20% seat reservation rule,the College will allow 12 seats reservation for Diploma holders including the quota of General,SC,ST.


Eligibility for Engineering admissions for Diploma holders:

• You must have pursued your Diploma course with minimum 60% marks in Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Education.
• You must not have any backlog left in Diploma course.
• Your age must not be more than 28 years.

Duration of degree course on the basis of Lateral entry scheme= 3years.

In past there has allocated only 10% of seats........But now there are considered 20% of seats based on AICTE rule.........these 20% of seats are reserved for the diploma students
