    Everything that can only be divided by itself or 1 is prime, but 1 is not a prime number.

    2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, and 97.
    There are 25 prime numbers between 1 and 100.
    These are the prime numbers up to 97, which is the last one before the composite number 100.

    Defination of prime number:

    A prime number is a whole number greater than 1, whose only two whole-number factors are 1 and itself. The first few prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, and 29. As we proceed in the set of natural numbers N = {1, 2, 3, ...}, the primes become less and less frequent in general. However, there is no largest prime number. For every prime number p, there exists a prime number p' such that p' is greater than p. This was demonstrated in ancient times by the Greek mathematician Euclid.

    Suppose n is a whole number, and we want to test it to see if it is prime. First, we take the square root (or the 1/2 power) of n; then we round this number up to the next highest whole number. Call the result m. We must find all of the following quotients:

    qm = n / m

    q(m-1) = n / (m-1)

    q(m-2) = n / (m-2)

    q(m-3) = n / (m-3). . .

    q3 = n / 3

    q2 = n / 2
    The number n is prime if and only if none of the q's, as derived above, are whole numbers.

    A computer can be used to test extremely large numbers to see if they are prime. But, because there is no limit to how large a natural number can be, there is always a point where testing in this manner becomes too great a task even for the most powerful supercomputers. Various algorithms have been formulated in an attempt to generate ever-larger prime numbers.

    A prime number is a whole number with exactly two integral divisors, 1 and itself. The number 1 is not a prime, since it has only one divisor.

    Prime Number is a positive number ( >0 ) that is divisible only by 1 and itself.

    For Example :

    The Number 5 is exactly divisible only by 1 and 5 (itself). No other numbers less than 5 (2,3,4) can divide 5. SO 5 is a perfect prime number.

    There are 25 prime numbers between 1 and 100. They are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, and 97.

    So, The Numbers, which can only be divided by themselves and 1, are considered to be Prime numbers.

    Prime numbers are those numbers which divided by the Same Number Only.

    like-3 divided by 3 only,11 divided by 11 only,17 divided by 17 only.

    Hi dude,

    A number is said to be a prime number if it is greater than 1 and which is divisable by the number it self.

    So according to the Definition some of the prime numbers are:-2,3,5,7,11 etc...

    As you asked the prime numbers between 1 to 100 they are :-

    2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61, 67,71,73,79,83,89,97.

    So they are 25 prime number between 1 to 100.

    prime number is the number which has only two factors :
    i.e. 1 and itself.
    ther are totally 25 prime nmbers between 1 to 100
    they are-
    2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61, 71,73,79,83,89,97
    1 is not a prime number because 1 is divisible by one positive integer, 1.

    0 is not a prime number because it is divisible by an infinite number of positive integers.
    Also 1 and 0 are neither prime nor composite.

    A number which is divisible by itself is a prime number except 1.And the prime numbers between 1 to 100 is 2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61, 71,73,79,83,89,97.

    The Euclidean definition of prime is simply "divisible by only one and it's own self,"
    so between 1 to 100 there are 25 prime number These are:
    2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61, 67,71,73,79,83,89 and 97

    There are 25 prime numbers below 100.

    FRIEND,

    PRIME NUMBERS are those numbers which are divisible by the 1 and Itself.

    Prime Number is always greater than 1(One).

    A perfect prime number is a number which can be divided only by 1 and itself and it cannot be divided by any number lesser than that particular number.

    There are a total of 25 prime numbers between 1 and 100. They are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, and 97.

    Prime Number :

    A prime number is a Whole Number .
    A number is said to Prime Number if it is divisible by 1 and by itself .

    E.g :-Consider no. 7 .

    No. 7 is divisible by 1 and is divisible by itself only,
    so it is said to be a Prime Number .

    But if we consider 6 , it is divisible by 1, 2, 3 and itself .

    In the same way ,

    Prime Numbers are those numbers that are greater than 1 and has no positive divisors other than 1.

    Now Consider an Example of Number 11:

    It is Divisible by only 1 and itself but not by any other numbers.

    Now if we take 9 : it is divisible by 3

    Hence Prime numbers between 1 to 100 are:

    2,3,5,7,11,13,17,19,23,29,31,37,41,43,47,53,59,61, 67,71,73,79,83,89,97

    a prime number is that which is divisible by 1 and itself only. that means it have only and only two factors. Number 1 is neither prime nor composite because it has only one factor i.e is 1.
    example of prime number is 5,7,11, etc..
    I am giving all prime numbers between 1 to 100.
    2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, and 97.
    hence there are only 25 prime numbers between 1 to 100.

    the prime numbers between 1 to 100....
    there are 25 prime numbers between 1 to 100...
    they are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41, 43, 47, 53, 59, 61, 67, 71, 73, 79, 83, 89, 97...
    a prime number is the one which has only two factors they are 1 and itself....
    it should be divisible by 1 and the number itself...then it is called as prime number....

    IF you want to know whether any given number is prime or not
    there is a procedure for that...
    suppose 100 is given
    get nearest perfect square below 100...i.e 9*9= 81 ....write down the factors for 81 and you willl get factors in which one of the factor divides 100 so you can verify that given number is not prime....
    similalry you can proceed for any number given asked to find out prime or not...

    Dear friend ,

    Prime number are defined as the number which are only divided by two numbers which are 1 and the number itself .

    Also ,two consecutive odd prim numbers are called twin prime where as three consecutive odd prime numbers are called prime triplets .

    There are 25 prime numbers between 1 to 100 .List of prime numbers between 1 to 100 are here under :-

    2 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 11 , 13 , 17 , 19 , 23 , 29 , 31 , 37 , 41 , 43 , 47 , 53 , 59 , 61 , 67 , 71 , 73 , 79 , 83 , 89 & 97 .

    2 is only even prime number and 3 ,5 & 7 are only prime triplet .
