As such there is no restriction. You can participate in NET examination as many no. of times.

There is no age limitation even to apply for NET for Lectureship.

You should have a masters degree with at least 55% marks to become eligible for the exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility test and this examination is Conducted by UGC Twice in a year and the examination is Conducted in June and December Every year.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Ther is no age criteria but if you want go for JRF then your age should be below 28 years old.There is no restrion for attempts in NET exam you can try here many times.

The notification for NET exam will be published very soon.It will be published in the month of November 2012.

There is no Age limit and restriction on number of attempts for NET exam...
There is only an age limit for JRF in NET exam..
The only requirement for NET exam is 55% in post graduation..

Hello Sir/ Mam,
I cleared my Mcom-I and i got 54.75% & now m appearing to Part-II . I wanted 2 know that to be eligible for NET exam 55% must be aggregate in I & II or it is separately. m i eligible if i bring 60% in the next year and if yes then plz let me know which book is best to clear this exam.
