    You should take up the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) conducted by the Air force selection Board after completing B.Tech to join the Technical wing. If you clear the EKT you should attend the common selection procedure. If you qualify in that test, you should undergo a physical test also. On the basis of the performance in the written test and medical test a merit list is prepared. If you get selected on the basis of merit, you have to undergo training at the Air force Technical College. On successful completion of the training you can join as an Officer in Air force.

    Engineering Students can enter into Indian air force as an officer in Technical branch...

    It can be applied by following ways.

    -> Direct Entry Scheme

    Eligibility: -

    - candidate who have completed engineering 4 yrs course.

    - Both Men and Women can use this mode of entry to apply to the Indian Air Force.

    -> University Entry Scheme (UES)

    Eligibility:

    - Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) & Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical)

    - Permanent Commission ( for Men) / Short Service Commission ( for Men & Women)

    Other General eligibility for both course:-

    - Age
    18 to 28 years

    - Marital Status
    Candidates below the age of 25 years should be Unmarried.

    - Nationality
    Indian

    -> In University Entry Scheme (UES) for
    Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) & Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical)
    notification are released in the month of January & July.
