To join the army requires the candidate to be very courageous and open to face any difficult situations. Since you are a 12th pass the best option is to appear for the NDA exam. But for that there are restrictions like age criteria and educational qualifications. You should not have crossed 19 1/2 years of age. Since you completed 12th standard in 2006 you would have surely cross the age limit required. You do have other options like appearing for CDS, SSC etc. But for appearing for these exam a minimum of graduation is a must. Also if you plan to pursue these courses and then appear for these exams you would have crossed the maximum age limit. You do have other options like joining as a soldier or commissioned officer. For these the 50% in 12th standard is sufficient.

The candidates who have passed the 12th can join in Indian Army. The candidates passed in 10+2 in science subjects can join NDA and the graduate candidates can apply for IMA. An exam is conducted by UPSC for joining NDA. The test includes a written test, physical test and medical test. There will be group tests and a personal interview too. The training will be given after qualifying all this. However since it’s been 4 years you have crossed the age limit required.

For joining Indian Army you must sit for NDA exam.
The age limit is 16half-19half

The option for you to join indian army is as a soldier or commissioned officer. For this you need 505 in 10+2.As you have crossed the maximum age limit you are not eligible for NDA exam.And as you have not completed your graduation til date you cant sit for CDS too.

after 12th - NDA, MER,
after graduation - CDS.

There are many options to join Indian Army ..but your case is a bit different because you now can not give NDA or neither sit for CDS because you dont have a graduation degree.But you need to o wory at all because there are some entries in the Army for lower ranks Like Warrant officer ..If suppose you clear it and get entry into Indian Army ,Then You will have chances to Give exams for the higher posts like Leiutinant and Captan ..so never loose hope and give a try...

Very nice you have choose your career as your intrest .
now as you have qualification upto 12th board . so you can apply for NDA exam if your age in 17-23 years old.
and you must have physics , Chemistry, Maths in your 12th board.
you can get good job after completing NDA exam .
you can also apply for Non-technical post which vacancies are announced time to time.

As you have asked that you want to join Indian Army,the option for doing it is by writing the NDA exam .The exam is conducted by UPSC and it is held 2 times a year.For writing this exam the candidate must possess some eligibility criteria's.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidate have a age limit of 16 1/2 - 19 years of age.

For Army wing:

The candidates must have finished +2 with 10th and +2 pattern of school education board.

For Air force and Naval wing

The candidates must have finished +2 with 10th and +2 pattern of school education board with physics and mathematics as subjects.

The candidates must be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

My name is H.Lalthanchami, a female of 25 years. I am from Mizoram and I have completed BBA in 2010. Since I am not interested in this line I want to join Indian Army. One can join in army in two ways , one is through NDA , and another one is through CDS SSC exam .
The qulification for the first way is that you should pass 12th with science with 55% minimum marks .The age should be within 16.5-19 ......
Since your age is above 19 you will not be selected for the NDA ..
In the second way the eligibility is that you should be a graduate ......
Since you don't have the graduation you will not be eligible ,and if you go for the graduation then by completing the gradution you will cross the maximum age limit .
So through this ways you can't reach in Indian army ,and an another option is that you can join as an ordinary soldier in the Indian army .....

it is not simple and silly to join indian army . For this you must be 12th passs so you can apply for the same. There are certain requirements such as height must be above 141cm, weight 42kg,eye6/6.........

to join indian army you must clear your upsc nda army exam which takes place twice an year with a minimum qualifcation of 12th pass out.The test is mainly based on mathematics and general ability skills.

You complete your 12th. It is good time for you to join the Indian army.You are eligible for giving the NDA exam.

Through NDA -

Graduates (Direct Entry) Through CDSE Examination -

And If you are Graduate Candidates then you are direct eligible for Combined Defense Services Examination, This examination also conducted by UPSC 2 Times in a year, the Notification also published in the employment newspaper, You have to crack the written examination and then After you have to appear for the interview conducted by Service Selection Board, successful candidates can join Indian Military Academy. But for this examination your age should between 19 to 24 Years.

UES (University Entry Scheme) -

You can also join the Indian army Univeristy Entry Scheme into technical branches or services of the army with the help of UES But for this your age should between 20 to 27 years.
