SSC -- Staff slection commission.

SSC conducts the Stenographer Exam.

This is not a difficult exam to face, but to be frank this the easiest exam conducted by SSC Board.

Firstly I will provide you the details of Stenographer Examination then you will come to know about the pattern and measures to be taken to crack it.

About the Examination :

Mostly the Exam will be conducted in the month of Jan/Feb 2012 .

The examination will consist of a Written Examination (objective type) and skill test in stenography.

The Duration of the Exam is 2 hours.

Note: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Examination Pattern :

Written Test :

Part I: General Intelligence & Reasoning ( 50 questions )
Part II: General Awareness ( 50 questions )
Part III: English Language and Comprehension ( 100 questions )

SSC Skill Test :

1. Data Entry Operator
2. Lower Division Clerk

The skill test will be conducted for 10 minutes only ( 30 min. for VH candidates ) .

A simple paragraph will be given to you .

And You have to write about 350 words in 10 minutes in English (10500 key depressions per hour) & 300 words in 10 min. in Hindi (9000 key depressions per hour) .

How to Prepare ???

As said earlier, it is very simple.

First Concentrate on the Written Test and later practice for Skill Test.

Have a min knowledge on the Topics like General Intelligence and General Awareness before appearing for the examination.

And you must be fluent with the English Language, because many questions are asked which takes only few seconds to answer, if you are good at English.

Now coming to Skill Test, practice Typing with your PC in order to clear the Skill Test.

You are asked to type a paragraph by seeing it, your text should not contain mistakes and must be done quickly.

For this, practice more and more, you can use Typing Master Software or Applications which makes your Typing Speed faster.

I have finished the pitman's shorthand book nd preparing from kailash Chandra magazine.I just want to know is that any shortcut method to crack the skill test..my skill test will be on 22 Oct. 2012..or is there any chance for me ..?
