Firstly, I would like to suggest you the areas from which questions are asked in CAT examination(Common aptitude test).CAT is an management entrance examination which can even
lead you to some of the top MBA colleges in India.For example if you scored more than 99 percentile in the examination, you would be able to grab a seat in the top most MBA
institution of India.The various areas being- logical reasoning, data interpretation, quantitative aptitude, English,etc.

Yes you can prepare for CAT even without taking any coaching classes.The various points which should be considered in this regard are as follows:
1)You must purchase some standard books-
You must firstly buy some books which are available in the market for CAT preparation and which are considered as standard books. Or you may even use coaching notes of your
friends which are given to them by the coaching authorities.You must start practice solving questions , you must also consider the time limit while attempting the questions.

2)Must read a English daily newspaper-
You must read a English newspaper daily in order to increase your knowledge as well as your word stock.Improving your word stock is very important as it would greatly help you
in facing the examination.You need to learn antonyms and synonyms as they are usually asked in CAT. Besides that you would also improve your sentence formation and
grammar by practicing this exercise.

3)Must try to solve mock test papers in limited time frame-
You must purchase a book from the market containing mock test papers for CAT preparation.This would greatly help you in getting an idea about the kind of questions asked
in the examination as well as the time which would be given to attempt the question paper.

Those candidate have above 50% in graduation are eligible for CAT exam.For SC/ST candidate this marks is decreased to 45% in graduation.

Your graduation college or university must have UGC approval.This exam is conduct once time in a year.

You can apply here maximum times because there is no limitation to attempts for CAT exam.

You can study regularly 4-5 hr only in CAT preparation then you must achieve the success.
