for civil service you have to graduate in any stream .
Because this eligibility is graduation in any stream .
If you have graduation or final year in graduation you can apply for this exam.
This exam is conducted by the upsc
this exam is conducted in every year. These form is coming on district Head post office.
This exam has 3 Stages:
1. pre which has Apptitude Test
In this resiongin is comming.

2. Main in this you choose one your own subject which has your own one choice papers
3. Interview

After that you become an officers.

Dear friend.
You have not mentioned here wether you have done diploma or degree in nursing.
If you have done diploma then i am sorry to say that you cannot appear in the civil service exam. This is because its minimum eligibility states thay you have to be a graduate in any discipline. So if you have dine bsc.Nursing course then only you can go for the civil exam.
Also let me tell you that you have to be a 21 to 32 years of age and can only attempt this exam 4 times.
Also regarding the subjects go with public administration with sanskrit as the maximum selections are made from these exams. If not then you can choose based on your background and nursing subjects like zoology or agricultural or botany etc...
The exam consist of a prelim, mains and a interview followed by a training.

To write Civil Exam you should be a graduate from any recognized university.

In your 12 standard you should have the subjects as maths,physics,and chemistry.

If you want to become IAS Officer you have to write the UPSC Civil services examination.

The examination was conducted by UPSC Comission every year and the Notification of the examination was Published in the Month of February every year.

The examination was held in Two stages CSAT and Mains.


There are Two papers in this examination and Both are Objective.

After writing CSAT exam the candidate is eligible for main exam.


If You want to pursue IPS you should be graduate from any recognized university.

You should have the following subjects in your 12 standard maths,physics,chemistry.

You Should pass in the physical fitness test conducted by the government.

Age Limits :

>Candidate must have the age between 21 years and 30 years on the 1st August of the year in which examination is being held.

>There is a relaxation Upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe and Ex service man.

>There is a relaxation Up to 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes .

Number of Attempts:

There will be only 4 attempts for the general category.

There is no limit for SC/ST candidates .

If you satisfy the above eligibility criteria you can get in to Civil services.

Eligibility Civil Services exam

• You should have degree or equivalent from any recognized university .
• You should for final year examination and waiting for result are also eligible on provisional basis.
• You should have age between 21 years to 30 years are eligible .

age relaxation

• 5 years for SC/ST and Ex-Service man
• 3 years for OBC .

If you have completed your Graduate Nursing course, then you are eligible for UPSC Civil services examination to become IPS/IAS Officer. This examination was conducted by UPSC Comission Every year and to apply for this examination you need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university, Final year graduate candidates are also eligible for this examination.

This examination was held in Two Stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination.

Those who cracked the preliminary examination are eligible for Main examination, Preliminary examination was Objective and there are Two papers in this examination and Both are Of same marks and duration, so please prepare for this examination well and then you are eligible for Main examination.

So, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline to apply for UPSC Civil services examination, And to apply for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. SC/ST Candidates will gets 5 Year age relaxation and 3 Year relaxation is applicable for OBC Candidates.

General Candidates will gets 4 Attempts to cracked this examination, OBC Candidates will gets 7 Attempts and No limits of SC/ST Candidates.

There are 2 Phases for Examination

1. Preliminary examination
2. Main examination.

For Civil services ELIGIBILITY is that you should be graduate from a recognised university

Age should be inbetween 21-30 years

There are 4 attempts for general, 7 attemps of OBCs and no limit for SC/ST candidates

The application fee is Rs. 100/-
(No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled only)

5th 2012 march is the the last date to apply for this examination
