    • Students applying must have degree or equivalent from government recognized university or equivalent .

    for getting into the Civils IAS exam you must appear for the civil services exams organized by the UPSC every year.
    The upsc exams for the civils generally held in the month of March and the notification come out in February.

    the minimum eligibility for appearing in the civils exams is
    1.you must be a graduate from any college.
    2.should be aged between 21-30 years of age
    3.the min no of attempts given is 4 for general candidate an 7 for SC/St.

    Important Dates:

    *Last date of submission of form:21.03.2011
    *Date of Prelim Exams:12.06.2011
    *Date of Main Exams:29.10.2011

    The forms are available online as well as offline.

    I suggest you go for the online form. It is available at:

    Online forms are easy to fill and fast. You should fill it online as the last dates are nearing.

    Indian Administrative services(IAS) exam held every year and conducted by UPSC.This is one of the toughest exam in India.Exam held in many patterns as preliminary and mains.Interview test conducted at last only for those who passed all tests.An interview letter is being sent to them who are eligible for interview.For preparation of ias one have to workhard,your general knowledge and english must be excellent.In interview generaly they ask about current affairs and some questions related to you.To get enroll in ias exam you have to follow following eligiblity criteria. ELIGIBLITY-Eligiblity for ias exam is that candidate must be graduate from a recognized university.Age limit is 21-30 years of age.

    Good question
    A candidate is considered enrolled in civil service exam when he apply for pre exam and also sit in a pre paper. If candidate doesn't sit in a pre paper he or she is not enrolled in this exams.

    Eligibility Criteria For IAS exam is

    >> Age limits :

    21-30 years as on date of the exam. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories). For SC/ST candidates between 21 and 35 years of age.
    For OBC candidates between 21 and 33 years of age.

    >> Educational Qualifications :

    Minimum Graduate in any discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

    candidate can appear for the Prelims even if the final year's result is awaited provided you produce it while filling the Mains form.

    >>Citizenship Eligibility for IAS

    MUST be a Citizen of India.

    if you have the above eligibility criteria then you can apply for IAS exam.

    DATE OF NOTIFICATION OF IAS exam:-04.02.2012.

    DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF EXAM:-20.05.2012

    >> IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become IAS Officer you need to complete your Graduation degree course first and then you are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

    UPSC Conducts this examination every year and those who are Interested in this examination are apply for this examination Next year. The examination was Held in 2 stages - Preliminary examination and Main examination, those who cracked the Preliminary examination are eligible to Sit in Main examination.

    Preliminary examination are Objective and There are 2 Papers in this examination, The Examination pattern was availiable in the UPSC website.

    Eligiblity Criteria -

    >> To apply for this examination you need to be a graduate in any discipline form a recognised University, Final year graduate candidates are also apply for this examination.

    >> Eligible candidates may fill the Application form Online OR Offline. The Offline application form can be Obtained form the Post Offices in India after declaration of Notification, But I was have suggest you to fill the application form Online By visit the UPSC website.

    Hello,

    Union Public Service Commission conducts Civil Services exams every year.

    You have to appear in Civil service exam for IAS post.

    It consists

    Written test
    SSB interview and
    Physical test.

    Eiligibity:

    Candidate must have graduate in any stream from recognized university.

    Candidate age must be 21 to 30 years.
    Age relaxation for OBC is 3 yaesr and for SC ST 5 years.

    Candidate must have citizenship of India.

    Candidate should be physically fit.

    You can do hard work for clearing Civil Service exam ,because its a tough exam of one year long.
