Candidates can apply for Civil engineering course after 12th class. Candidates should complete 12th class in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects. Candidates should also score 50% marks in 12th class to apply for engineering course. They should appear for National level or State Level Exams like All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) to secure admission for this course. If you clear this exam with good score you can apply for this course in reputed engineering colleges or universities. Based on the score secured in entrance exam, you will be called for Counseling. You can opt for Civil Engineering stream at the time of Counseling.

first you have to get good marks in the 12th science with maths subject.
then you have apply for engineering for particular university after the 12th result.
Each university start the admission process and give admisison on the base of merit marks secured in 12th science.
In the admission process you have to choose your prefference of college and engineering branch online. In some university, there is also offline admssion process exist.
If seat available, then you can get admission according to your prefference on the base of 12th merit marks.
now you are interested in civil engineering, then you have to give first prefferance to civil enigneering and select college online. If seat available, then you will get.

Re: How to get admission for civil engineering course?

See, you never get direct admission for civil or electrical or any other engineering course for that matter. I presume that either you are already a 12 pass out or you are currently pursuing your 12th. You have to sit for any government accredited entrance examination for engineering courses. These examinations have the 1st criteria of being the age within 25. You must also have a minimum of 60% in your academic career. You will be sitting for an objective type of question set for each of the papers Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and in the case of AIEEE its just Physics and Mathematics. So while being in your 12th you have to stress on these subjects. One thing you can be rest assured that you 12th standard syllabus and AIEEE or JEE question pattern would not be matching. You must have a deeper analytical knowledge in these subjects. Buy some solved JEE papers and practice the problems given in them. If you want to score high you have to stress on the problems of Phycis especially.
