TO DO MECHANICAL ENGINEERING FROM IIT COLLEGE YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE SCIENCE STREAM AFTER COMPLETION OF SSC WITH THREE COMPALSARY SUBJECTS
    1) MATHS
    2) PHYSIC
    3) CHEMISTRY
YOU HAVE TO SCORE MINIMUM 50% MARKS IN THESE THREE SUBJECTS IN THE BOARD EXAM...

AFTER THAT THEIR US 'IIT' ENTRANCE BASED ON 11TH AND 12TH SYALLBUS
.Pass this entrance with good score you can get the IIT college according to your score in that entrance exam.

sir for doing mechanical engineering you must take maths, physics, chemistry in 10+2, then you need to qualify in IIT-JEE entrance exam and choose mechanical engineering
or you can choose diploma in mechanical engineernig then qualify in iit-jee and choose mechanical engineering

    hi,
after 10th, you have to choose the the group MPC(mathematics, physics, chemistry),
according to the resent rules several state students whore are going to appear in the IIT exam they should get the similar percentage. for eg:ap students should get the 82% in their intermediate to appear in IIT exam.
then after you can apply for IIT-JEE entrence test ,and according to the rank you may get the seat.

First of all u need to be a student of science and maths(physics, chemistry and maths) in 12th class after tamhat you need to clear the iit entrance exam.
But merely clearing the exam wont be good as mechanical engineering demands very good rank. Then you get to study mechanical engineerung at iit.
    Good luck !!
