As part of this course you will be gaining knowledge in several areas. This will include learning about several policies, employment and also retirement benefit. The minimum eligibility for a candidate to appear for this course is to have a pass in XII standard. Also the candidate must be fluent in commerce and maths. Since you are currently a FYJC student in commerce with maths you can join for the Actuarial Science courses after your higher secondary studies. As for May exam the dates have closed ,but do not worry about that ,you have another chance for appearing in actuarial exam. If you are not very much familiar with this stream ,its not a big issue ,we are here to solve your query only . I have currently given my TYBcom exams and cleared IPCC in May 2011. I want to join the actuarial science course but I don't know about its procedure. I had scored 98% marks in HSC Boards in Maths & Statistics. What exactly is this entrance exams requirement?? Who is supposed to give it and when is it held?? Is any coaching available and/or required for this entrance exam??
Also, please explain me the heirarchy of this course

How do I enroll for Actuarial Science Entrance Exam?

Hi,

I have completed my graduation in Commerce and wish to do a career in Actuarial Science. I was advised that in order to apply for Actuarial Science course I need to be either from Science or Arts field with specialization in Mathematics and Statistics or I need to clear SOA - Society of Actuaries - Exam. Can you please advise whether I am eligible for ACET and whether I would be able to apply for Actuarial Science course by clearing ACET or do I have to clear SOA - Society of Actuaries - Exam.
