For getting engineering seat first you have to write entrance exam which belongs to particular universities like IIT's , NIT's , BITS , VIT , JNTU etc.....

You need to appear for the entrance exam for getting a engineering degree ,there are many entrance exams for getting this degree like AIEEE is very common as it has got maximum number of seats ,You can appear for IIT JEE exam ,State engineering exams and other private exams ,To identify a good engineering college you need to find out the details about the college like its infrastructure ,its last year placement ,when the college was estblished .AICTE has also given many guidelines for the colleges ,you need to check wheather that college fulfill all the criteria or not ,Wheather it has got recognition from AICTE and NBA or not .

I would recommend you join some coaching centre to prepare for the competitive exams such as IIT-JEE,AIEEE,BITSAT,VITEEE,SRMEEE,and various other state entrance exams.You should prepare well in this one year if u havn't done so in the previous as i am assuming that u have not given any such exam this year.But not to worry,you have a whole year before you to study hard.If you get a good rank in any such exam then college won't be a problem for you,neither will be the branch.But if you have some particular aim for eg. A Space Scientist then you can go for specific exams such as ISAT for space applications.The institute is situated in Bangalore and purely Government college.Also keep track with the newspapers and subscribe to some good informative magazine.

for branch u have to see your interest. in which stream u have interest more,
and for engineering college u can prefer many national competetion, and also college direct admission, u can choose a college and can get admission by your good percentage.

dear friend,u prepare for entrance exam for IIT-JEE,AIEEE,VIT-Vellore and also give entrance exam for COMEDk(VTU University,karnatka).Based on the good marks or rank,u will get the good engg. collage. so friend, main thing is to give more concentration on preparation. And for the Branch,it depends on you- in which field u have interest... according to me computer science engg./information technology is easiest one.

first you have to write entrance exam then according to your marks you are given a rank then based on your marks you can select better college

It is good that you want to choose engg. field but the best way is that you should clear the AIEEE or IITJEE entrance exam which is specially foe engg. and after scoring a good marks in these you can take admission in top IITs and NITs colleges.

So, i think you should prepare yourself for that but for this year you are late, you can write this exam next year.

Getting 75% in CBSE is a very great thing,therefore i think in engineering you will get above 90%.Because engineering is very very easy.So you should choose the good college which is very much useful for your carrier.

based on ur rank after u qualify in any engg entrance exam as stated above u can select good college by analyzing the infrastructure,placement statictics,if possible about study n most importantly year of establishment n branch depends on u dat in which brnch u r interested if maths den go for mechanical engg also if u r good in drawing den civil etc it solely depends on ur interested.....

This is totally based on your AIEEE and IIT-JEE exams scorecards..
IF you score good marks in AIEEE e.g. 150 or 160 ..then you can get good college..
And then CCB Counseling give you best college based on your filling choices..
