sorry ,you cannot join indian army due to one reason- you have crossed maximum age limit. i checked for different entries but you are not eligible for a single entry. there are many entries where graduation is necessary but age limit is 19 to 25 years,,17 to 24 years 17 to 23 years....but there is aone entry is still available for you is- junior commissioned catering officer( army service corps).eligiblity criteria for this entry is 10+2 or equivalent from any board and age limit is 21 to 27 years.in service corps you have to supply all the necessary things to army in battle field.you will be trained as a army man you will not be allowed to fight. your man task will to supplty weapons,food,water,cloths,and other necessary things.there may be a lot of problems in transport but you will have to solve all these problems.

Sorry,You are not eligible to apply for defense sector at the age of 26.If you want to get opportunities in Defense sector then you must be attend for CDS entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC Every year.You are having chance to appear for different positions like Indian Military Academy,Officer training Academy,Junior Commission Officer and Soldier Clerk etc.


If you want to apply for above positions then you must satisfy following eligibility criteria;

Indian Military Academy;

You must completed your graduation from recognized university with any stream and Your age should be between 19 to 24 years.This is a good career for the candidates those who want to see them selves in the top ranked positions in the Indian Military.If you do hard work for this position then surely you will be having chance to get opportunity in this position.

Officers Training Academy;

You must be completed your graduation with any stream from recognized university and Your age should be between 19 years to 25 years.This is one good choice to you for getting good job in the Defense sector.

Junior Commission Officer;

For this position,Your age should be between 21 to 27 years and You should be completed your graduation from recognized university and If you do this job then you will be having chance to get higher positions very easily in the future.

You can go for Indian army through CDSE examination....


CDS stands for Combined Defense Service.UPSC will hold the CDS exam twice a year.The minimum eligiblity for to enter into teh CDS is you have to complete your garduation form any recognized university.

Eligiblity for CDS:

For Indian Navel Academy:

Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Your age should in between 19-22 years.
You have the engineering degree.


For Air force Academy:

Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Your age should in between 19-23 years.
You have the degree(with Physics and maths at 12th) from any recognize duniversity.

For Officer's training Academy(SSC for women):

Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Your age should in between 19-22 years.
You have the engineering degree.

for officers training Academy(SSC Women Non technocal course)



Unmarried female candidates are eligible.
Your age should in between 19-25 years.
You have the degree from any recognized university.


For Indian Military academy:


Unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Your age should in between 19-24 years.
You have the degree from any recognize duniversity.

i have complete my engg. degree in electronics comm. with 68.84%. but my age is 25 & 1 month above. can i join the indian army

No you are not eligible for joining Indian Army.
Only the candidates below 25 years can joint Indian Army through CDS ( Combined Defense Services Examination ) can join it.

Educational qualification :
The candidates age must be in between : 19 years to 24 years.
After this age limit you cannot be able to apply for CDS examination.

UPSC every year two times conducts the examination in the month of February and September.
