The admission in Sainik school is strictly based on Entrance examination and you have to cracked the entrance test to get admission in Sainik school. Admission starts from class VI, the admission is based on written test, Interview and Medical examination, only boys are eligible to get admission in Sainik school, the main aim of Sainik school is to prepared students for National Defence academy examination.

The notification of Sainik school entrance examination is going to be published soon in the month of Nov/Dec and the examination is conducted in January. There are total 18 Sainik schools in India.

Sainik schools follow the Central Board of Secondary Education Syllabus and also affiliated by CBSE.

The main aim of Sainik school is to prepare the boys academically, physically and psychologically for entry into the National Defence Academy.

Those who are taking admission in VI class, should have completed 10 years of age but not completed 11 years.

There are approximately 100 seats for Class VI and 20 seats for Class IX.

67% of the seats of each school are reserved for boys from the state in which the school is located. 25% seats is for defence family candidates and 15% seats is reserved for SC/ST candidates.

This schools prepared candidates for the NDA Examination, the main aim of this schools is to prepared students for National defence academy, so that they will be selected after Intermediate examination. The school provide Medical and Physical Training to the students. Hostel is compulsory for students who are interested to take admission in this school.

They prepared you for the entrance test for NDA as well as for SSB interview. But the admission is based on entrance test, if you cracked test you are eligible for admission in this school.
