    The basic qualification for applying the program of Food inspector is a bachelor’s degree in food safety or related fields. Some other qualified specializations are like chemistry, agriculture and biology. The applicant must finish the degree from a recognized institute. One-year experience in the food industry should include in the resume. The interested aspirants can register to the USDA inspector-training course. The age limit is 18 to 31years. Some institute carried out entrance exams. UPSC conducts the entrance test. Once you pass the course from a reputed institute, you can work in public and private sector. The pay scale is high for a food inspector.

    Every year FCI Food Corporation of India recruited for the post of food inspector, or UPSC, SSC ALSO RECRUITED food inspector.

    You must be a Medical Officer In charge of Health Administration of local area.
    You must be a graduate in Medicine and have taken at-least 1 month training in Food inspection and sampling work .
    You must be a graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject
    You must be graduate in one if the following :

    Pharmacy
    Veterinary Science.

    Eligibility for Food Inspector exam are as follows: -

    1. Pass graduation in any subject / stream from a regonised institute / university.

    2. Age - 21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates, 21 Years to 33 Years
    for OBC candidates and 21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

    3. Nationality - Indian

    NOTE: - Final year appearing candidates can also apply for Food Inspector exam.

    Eligibility:

    Candidates should be in between 21 to 35 years of age as on 01 July 2010. There is relaxation for the reserved category candidates in age limit as per government rules.

    Educational Qualification:

    Minimum educational qualification criteria should be fullfilled by the interested candidates in order to apply for the posts of Food Inspector in the department of Food and Medical Administration.

    The salary of food inspector is depends on you but mostly it is around 20,000 RS. from the beginning.
    This exam conduct by UPSC.
    The eligibility for this exam is bachelor degree in Medicine/Agriculture/Food technology/Dairy etc.

    To become a food inspector you need to write the food inspector exam conducted by UPSC.
    You are eligible for it.
    The exam this year is over and you have to wait for next exam in 2012.

    1. A gradaute in engineering in any discipline. Since biotech is one of them you are eligible.

    2.You must be aged between 21 and 30.
    Upper age limit is 33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST.

    3.You must be an Indian citizen.

    The test consists of a written exam and an interview.
    The written paper is of 5 papers.

    Paper I: General awareness , aptitude ,English

    Paper II And III: Objective Questions from engineering

    Paper IV and V: Subjective Questions from engineering

    The educational qualifications for the the food inspector are:


    1)A Candidate should be graduate from any recognized University or Institution in any field.

    2)A candidate should possess at least 120 hours course with working experience in the use of Personal Computers or Information Technology in office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing Applications from a Govt. recognized institution or a reputed institution which is ISO 9001 certified. Or

    A computer Information Technology Course equivalent to ‘O’ level certificate of DOEACC of Govt. of India.

    The computer certificate is not required in the following case

    Candidates having Engineering Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) I.T. Graduates and B.C.A. from as recognized university and candidates who have studied Computers/Information Technology as a subject in their Graduation degree along with productivity applications or desktop publishing applications for at least 120 hours.

    3)AGE LIMIT:


    A candidate's age must be between 18 to 35 years and the Upper age Limit is relaxable to the extent of 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Tribes/Backward Classes and upto 10 years for physically handicapped persons.

    4)Reservation:

    There is some reservation for the candidate's of these categories
    SC/ST, BC, EX-Servicemen, Handicapped persons, freedom fighter & Sports persons, Categories.
