MODE OF ENTRANCE :

• You have to join officer's training academy (OTA) through CDS entrance academy.

ELIGIBILITY :
AGE : Your age must be between 19 to 25 years.
QUALIFICATION : You should have completed your bachelors degree in any discipline.
DATE OF EXAMINATION :
CDS examination is conducted twice in an year by UPSC.

To join Army after completing Post Basic in BSc Nursing.Being a Girl candidate after B.Sc. Nursing you are eligible to apply for OTA(Officer's Training Academy) through CDS entrance exam.
Eligibility Criteria OTA :-
candidate must be an Indian National candidate.
should have completed Graduation in any stream from a recognised University.
should be within the age of 19 to 25 years of age.
should have Physically and Mentally a Fit candidate.

UPSC conducted the CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam two times a year for entry in to Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy of CDS.

As you are interested you can apply for CDS-II 2012 exam, the notification for which has already been announced and the last date to submit application is 02.07.2012 followed by exam on 16.09.2012.

The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite exam fees.

1. For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent

Yes after completing your graduation you can give combined defense services exam (CDS) if you fulfill the following conditions even if you are a girl.

Eligibility criteria for IAS

Nationality - The candidate must be a citizen of India

Marital Status - Only unmarried candidates can apply for it.

Age limit- The candidate must have completed 19 years of age and should not be more than 25 years of age

Educational qualification - The candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

Actually to enter in to INDIAN ARMY you need to apply for NDA exam.

But as your a girl you can not apply for NDA exam as NDA exam only for Unmarried Male Candidates.

• Girls can enter into Indian Army through OTA exam.

OTA stands for Officers Training Academy.

• To apply for this exam you need to have completed your Graduation from any Stream.
  
• Your age need to between 19 to 27 years.

Both 12th pass outs and graduates can apply for the Soldier Nursing Assistant post in the army. 12th pass outs with science background are only eligible to apply. Physics, Chemistry, Biology should be amongst the subjects studied. The aggregate marks secured along with English subject should be 50% or above. Also minimum 40% in each of these subjects is a must. Graduates who have completed B.Sc are eligible to apply. Also age should be between 17.5 and 23 years. So if you satisfy the required conditions you are eligible to apply.

Well now a days girls too join in Indian Army.

Since girls are not eligible for NDA(National Defence Academy) Exam you can write CDS(Combined Defence Service) Exam for OTA((Officer Training Academy) post.

The following are the criteria for writing this exam

» You should complete your bachelor degree from a recognised college

» You must be the citizen of India

» Your age must lie between 19 - 25 years.

» You must have both physicall and mental fittness.
