Women who are from the engineering background are allowed to enter this stream through the SSC. Also the age requirement is 19 to 23 years. Since you satisfy both these criterias you are eligible to join this stream. You should have atleast 60% aggregate score in the all the papers. You can apply when you are in the final year too.The condition for candidates applying for this scheme is that you will be able to serve for only 14 years. You will receive no extension. Normally there will be advertisements in January and July months. As and when there is an advertisement you will need to send an application. Women can join in IAF as SSC (short service commission) officers in all branches except medical and dental for which they have to join AFMC through competitive entrance exam. You can join in flying branch through SSC(W) commission or through technical branches. Advt are regularly inserted in all leading dailies. You need not to wory about your entry if you are really, interested in defevce services Because Army offers you job after Graduation also based on Engineering degree.There are entries like University scheme,Technical Graduate entry ...through which you can enter into Army..or else you can try through CDS ,here you will have to clear a written exam ,followed by SSB.

Both male and female candidates can join Indian Air Force( Technical Branch) after their engineering (Btech and BE). I am 21 yrs old and its my final year in B.Tech(APP. ELECTRONICS AND INSTRUMENTATION).Hw can i join IAF?And when ?

Female candidate can also eligible to join in Indian Air Force by appearing AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) is the part SSC(Short Service Commission).This exam is conducted twice in year.
