For space scientist the minimum eligibility required is +2 wiith PCM i.e physics , chemistry, mathematics. Students who have score high score at there +2 level are eligible for entrance exam conducted by ISRO.
There are various institutes that offer a course in aerospace engineering or aeronautics and conduct their own entrance tests. Some of the entrance exams are IIST, JEE, AIEEE and BITSAT. You can also hired by DRDO which is defence research and development of organisation.
Candidate holding degree in Physic and mathematics can also appear for the entrance exam conducted by ISAT.
For more details regarding the entrance exam you can visit on the sites

Space scientist is indeed a good career. People interested in working in Space Science can obtain a Bachelor of Science in Space Science, a Bachelor of Science in Earth and Space Science, or a master's degree or a doctorate in atmospheric and space science. Those looking to teach Space Science can get a bachelor's, master's or doctorate of education in Space Science. You can join these courses. After the completion of your course. You can try in NASA. A exam is held by NASA every year.

Colleges which offers these courses are:

Some of the institutes conducting these courses are:

Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehra Dun, is a premier centre for training in Remote Sensing.

Centre for Space Science and Technology Education,Dehra Dun conducts courses in Remote sensing and GIS, Satellite Meteorology and Global Climate, Atmospheric Sciences, Satellite communication and Space Sciences.

A scientists who studies space is called an astronomer.

If you want to become an astronomer, take physics and astronomy classes
in high school. Try to get into advanced courses. In college take calculus,
trigonometry, and major in physics or astronomy....

To Become an astronomer you need to be in college for 8 years-

4 years to get you Bachelors Degree
2 years to get your master
and another 2 years to get your PhD.

Pass 12th with physics, maths as two compulsory subjects,
Then complete Bachelor's degree in space sciences or space engineering.
After that you have to do the Phd in your specialised subject.
So you can guess how far you have to go to materialise your interest.
