Re: How to become a judge?

To become a Judge the first step is to pursue a LLB course. For pursuing this course it is a must to have completed 12th standard. The minimum marks required varies from 45% to 55%. Also for most institutes it is a must to appear for the entrance exam. On completion of the LLB course the candidates can either go in for Postgraduate course or go in for practicing law. They will need to appear for the State Judiciary exam. This exam is conducted by respective states. In order to be eligible to appear for this test the candidates need to have practiced law for 10 years. Also there is a minimum age requirement of 45years.

Re: How to become a judge?

A Judge is one of the most respected positions in the Indian legal system. A judge is the concerning authority who is in charge of the administering and interpreting the rules in India. A candidate who wishes to become a Judge will have to appear in a State Judicial service Exam. The candidates who have qualified in this exam are only eligible to apply for the post. This exam is held in all the states in India every year. A candidate has to be an Indian citizen. The age of the candidate must be above 45 years. A candidate must have an experience and have to practice as a lawyer in the high court for more than 10 years. The candidates who have all the required qualification can send the application to the Register General of the concerned court.

TO BE A JUDGE YOU NEED TO QUALIFY JUDICIARY EXAMS LIKE PCS-J AND SHOULD HAVE A GREAT KNOWLEDGE OF LAW AND CONSTITUTION. FOR THIS YOU MUST HAVE YOUR GRADUATION IN LLB AND BETTER TO GO FOR LLM.
THEN THERE ARE VARIOUS EXAMS INTERNALLY BY WHICH YOU CAN DO WONDERS IN THIS EXCITING FIELD.
A GOOD DECISION MAKING POWER SHOULD BE IN THE PERSON OPTING FOR JUDICIARY SERVICES.

In order to become a judge firstly you have to completer your LLB from any university offering it.LLB is of two types:
    (i) it is of three yrs which is after graduation

After completing LLB you can apply in PCS(J) which is a entrance for judiciary services or either you can practiced law in any court for a min. period of 10 yrs and then again apply for ADJ(additional district judge).

Re: How to become a judge?

    Hi Dear,

The procedure to become a Judge of a court is followed by step by step .Well, firstly Judges are preside over local ,state and federal courts . You might be confused that what are federal courts ,these are the courts ,where Judges are appointed for life and while the other Judges serves for fixed, and some are for renewable terms. To ,become a Judge you should have the degree of Juirs Doctor (J.D) and also passed your state's examination and have gained the experience in practicing law. Take the help of the good judges for having the good practical and cases and then apply for a judgeship when there is an opening in a court .So ,see the updation on the websites or in the newspaper ,if you are really interested .Best of luck

To become a judge is not that easy as you think .First of all you have to be a graduate in LLB
For that you need to complete 12th in any stream with 45-50 % mark ,The marks may vary according to the institution .
And if you want to become a judge then you need to have at least 7-10 years of experience as a lawyer and also you should complete 45 years . Then you are eligible to write an exam for the judges .
The exam is state judiciary exam .Through this exam you will be only qualified to become a judge of a lower court only , and if you still wanted to become as judge of higher ,then you need more and more experience as a judge in lower courts ...
