It is important to have a right academic background and a good academic track record to join the ISRO. You need to be from the Science and Mathematics background if you wish to join the ISRO. So Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics should be amongst the subjects studied. IIST an institute under ISRO provide graduation level courses. You need to appear for the exam when you are in the 12th standard. Another option is to join after your engineering. You will need to clear the entrance exam for the same. You can choose the option which suits you. Make sure to stay focused and work towards achieving the same.

ISRO is a space research organization in India. For getting a career in ISRO, you have to write certain tests. As you are an intermediate in Science streams, you can pursue the graduation program in engineering or any other science subjects. On completion of the same, you have to do the Masters’ course in the concerned areas. Pursue the courses from an acknowledged University or institute. Then only you may be eligible to apply for the ISRO test. To become a Scientist in ISRO, one should have a PhD in any Science subjects. In addition, you should clear the NET-JRF exam. TO BECOME AN ISRO SCIENTIST YOU NEED TO BE ME/MTECH/MSC OR A EQUIVALENT DEGREE WITH A FIRST CLASS WITH A AGGREGATE MINIMUM OF 60% OR CGPA/CPI GRADING OF 6.5 ON A 10 SCALE OR A EQUIVALENT AND PRE ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATION OF BE/BTECH /BSC ENGG. To become an ISRO scientist a student must be very brilliant and he/she must be a sceince student.then they have to crack the entrance exam for ISRO.

What is the level of ISAT ? Is it similar to IITJEE?

after completion of your intermediate there is an exam called ISAT conducted by indian institue of space sciences and technology after completion of graduation in that college you are recruited in ISRO

Dear student, if you want to become ISRO scientist, then you have to clear ISAT exam, then after completion of your degree, you are recruited in ISRO

you can have a B.E in mechanical engineering or ECE or aeronautics, and MTech in the same. TO BECOME AN ASTRONAUT, you need a bachelors degree in aerospace or aeronautics related branch, a MTech in the same and Phd in aerospace or asrtonomy related or 3 years work exp in related fields. You would need lot of flying hours also. Yep a scientist can be an astronaut too!!

you have other option too..... you can give isat exam after 12th,,,,,,,,,, getting in it is really very difficult........so you gotto work hard for it.........if you managed to clear that exam................... you can go for B.Tech in physical science........where you wiil bve made aware of the topics related to astrophysics..... then further you can join isro.................................

first complete ur graduation in any field like engennering, mathematics, physical science. the entrance test of isro is conducted by iit. so u have to work hard to score very good marks in ur graduation and prepare well for the entrance test.

for being an isro scientist u have to give isat test....this yr paper was on 16 april.almost 250 seats are available.form releases in nov-dec.12 appearing,passed &gradated students can apply for this.min %required for gn students is 50%&for sc/st it is 45%.all the best...

The age limit for the post of Scientist SC is 35 years which is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
There is no age limit for Scientist SD.

there are abt 1 lac aspirants for 150 seats

there is a bond that states that you work in ISRO for 5 years

Firstly you need to have Physics,Chemistry and MAths at the 10+2 level to be eligible for appearing in the ISAT exam conducted by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology(IIST), situated in Bangalore.It is the premier institution for space applications and the level of the exam is quite good and not that easy.It provides graduate level courses in space applications which land you up directly in ISRO upon completion of the course.Further you can go for masters course in space science or aeronautical or aerospace depending on your choice to become a scientist.The fee of the graduate course is borne by the institute itself as it has limited seats for general category,only 60 odd.

ISRO invites application for scientist post time to time,you can see the advertisement on employement news or on the official site.
Now on the official site result of written test 16/4/11 for scientist post is declared.
You can apply next year but only if you fullfill the eligiblity criteria.

You should prepare NCERT books of class 11th and 12th because the entire syllabus is based on the CBSE syllabus,if you are selected in ISAT then you can do BTECH there and can become scientisr.

you need to complete your 11th and 12th in science stream with minimum 60% .
then you need to do either BE or B.tech and pass out with atleast 60%.
then you can appear for ISAT exam conducted by ISRO and then you can become scientist in ISRO

to apply for Scientist post in ISRO eligibility criteria is:
Academic: BE or equivalent in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer science in first class(aggregate must be 65% in minimum)
Age: must not be above 35.

so now you need to complete your 12th class and join in bachelors degree with branches like mechanical,computes and electronics and complete it in first class
you can apply for ISRO test in your final year of bachelors degree too.

hello dear to become scientist you may go for IIST exam this is conducted for science student only apart from that you may complete your msc in physics after that you will be eligible to give exam of isro for the post of scientist so try for either of them both will lead you to the same destination.
