Hi aspirant,
There is no restriction on the subjects to become an IPS officer.
Minimum qualification is just to complete your graduation exam.
It does not matter in which stream you have graduated.
For becoming an IPS officer you have to give its entrance examination(CSAT).
If you qualify you have give Civil Service main examination.
Then you will be called for interview.
You have only 5 number of attempts as a general candidate.

Hey friend,

To become a IPS officer you need to write the Indian Civil Service Exam which is IPS Exam which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year.

You being a Commerce background student you are eligible but you need to have completed a Degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

The Education qualification needed for the IPS Exam is that the candidate must have completed a Degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

And there are certain other criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the exam as it is the requirement which is needed and they are:

## The candidate appearing for the exam must have a Citizenship in India

## The age limit needed for the exam must have 21-30 years of age

## For Sc/St candidate it is 21-35 years

## For OBC Candidate it is 21-33 years

## Education qualification needed for the exam must have completed a Degree from a recognized university with a fair percentage.

## Even Final year candidate is eligible for the exam.


## The candidate appearing for the exam must be Physically fit while appearing for the exam





If you satisfy all these above criteira for the exam then you can apply for the IPS Exam.
