    You cannot become an IPS officer after INTERMEDIATE because the minimum educational qualification required for the CIVIL SERVICES EXAM through which you can become IPS is GRADAUTION in any field from any recognized University.

    To be an IPS officer you have to first complete graduation in any field and then apply for the CIVIL SERVICES Exam.

    Your age at the time of applying must be between 21 to 30 years and there is some relaxation for the reserved categories and they are:
    • 3 Years for OBC
    • 5 year for SC/ST.

    Number of attempts for which you are applied are:
    1. For General category it is: 4 attempts
    2. For OBC category it is: 7 attempts
    3. For SC/ST category it is: no limit on number of attempts

    You can apply for the exam on the website www.upsconline.nic.in or you can also get the application form from the post offices at a cost of Rs 25 and it is free for some women and Reserved category candidates.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    For Indian Police Service ,you must be citizen of India.

    Age limits :

    You must have attained the age of 21 Yrs and must not Attained the age of 30 Yrs on 1st August,2012.

    The Upper age limit will be Applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

    Upto a maximum Five Years for Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes.

    Upto a Maximum three years for Other Backward Classes.

    Education Qualification :

    You must hold a Bachelor's degree of any Recognized University.

    If you are in the final year of a degree course can also Eligible.

    Number of Attempts :

    Four Attempts for Open.

    Seven Attempts for OBC category.

    No Limit for SC/ST.

    Physical Fitness Is very Important for IPS Exam.

    Male 165 Cm Pahari Male (General also) & ST (Not SC/OBC) - 160 Cm.

    Female 150 Cm Pahari female (General also) & ST (Not SC/OBC) - 145 Cm.

    You cannot try for IPS officer post after intermediate. Graduation is the main requirement for this post. Candidates can choose to do graduation in any subject but only from a recognized institute. Minimum age for this is 21 years. 30 years is the higher age specified for this post. You have to attend UPSC civil service examination to get in to this post. You will have to write a preliminary exam in the initial stage. If you clear this stage you can write a Main exam too. On clearing both these written tests, you need to attend a physical test and personal interview as well.

    IPS stands for Indian Police Service.
    You have to appear for UPSC Civil Service Exam to get into this post.

    Eligibility criteria:
    1) must be a graduate in any discipline
    2) must be citizen of India
    3) age should be between 21 & 30 years, however there is an age relaxation for reservation categories.

    no you are not eligible for IPS Exam because complete a degree
    IPS Stands Indian Police Services
    IPS Exam conducted by UPSC
    Eligibility :
    Complete a degree in any stream from a recognized university
    Age limit : min of 21 years & max of 30 years for General
    33 years for OBC
    35 years for SC/ST

    Number of Attempts :
    General Candidate Four Times
    OBC Candidates Seven Times
    SC/ST Candidates No limit

    IPS : Indian Police Services.

    The IPS examination is conducted by UPSC .
    To appear in this examination you need to complete your graduation.
    After graduation you can apply for IPS examination.

    Eligibility for IPs examination:

    you must have graduation degree in any stream of a recognized university.

    Final year students can also apply for examination.

    Age : 21 to 30 years.

    You have to qualify in both the stages of examination.
    Examination has two stages :
    and finally Interview.

    And the most important thing is that you must be physically ame mentally fit during medical test.

    So to fulfill your dream first complete your graduation after class 12th.

    IPS officer:-

    Educational Qualification:-

    IPS Entrance Exam :

    Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once.

    So, if you want become a IPS officer, then the selection procedure is based on the preliminary examination and main examination and personality/interviews conducted by the UPSC. For attending the IPS officer entrance exams required requirements are given bellow:

    Required Requirements :

    Required educational qualifications are you must completed the GRADUATION from recognized university and here not required any percentage.

    Age limit:-

    For Open category:- 21-30 year

    For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR

    For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

    Number of Attempts:-

    For open category:- 4 attempts

    For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

    The examination is Conducted in 2 stages :

    >> Preliminary examination
    >> Main examination

    Preliminary examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination and if you have cracked the Preliminary examination then you are eligible for Main examination, main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Subjects on the basis of Graduation.
