    To become an IPS you must have the following eligibility criteria....

    Nationality
    *Candidate should be an Indian...

    Age limits

    However getting into IPS is not easy,There is a very long one year competitve exam ,one should qualify in that to get into IPS...

    Indian Civil Services which is the Major governing body safe guarding the Indian Government and constitutes all Major Departments which run State and Central Administration.There are 3 types of Services recruited through Civil's Examination like
    1. All India Services.
    2. Central Services.
    3. State Services.

    Civil's examination is considered as one of the most prestigious examination in India and also considered as toughest examination in India.Every year nearly 4 lakh young aspirants write the examination for nearly 900 posts.

    UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) conducts the common written exam every year for the entry into Civil's. It mainly conducts in 3 stages

    For this your partime diploma with your study you can try to doing from open universities like
    IGNOU.
    NAlanda open university.
    Rajshree tondon open university.
    and some other universities which is open in india. To get admission you have 10+2 passed & satisfied the university requirements which is given in prospectus.
    This has some course fee for your Study material which is proved by post or courier.
    They have some class for problem of students.
    So visit your study centre or web site for eligibility criteria.

    hello
    sorry you cannot apply for IPS entrance exam. to become an IPS officer you should be graduated from a recognised university.
    diploma is not a graduation course, so it cannot be condisered as a graduation degree.
    After graduation you need to be appear for civil service examination.
    the eligibility criterion for civil service examination is you should have minimum of graduation degree from a recognized university.

    You are Not eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination to become IPS Officer.

    IPS Stands for Indian Police Services and to become IPS Officer you need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university, Final year graduate candidates are also eligible for UPSC Civil services examination.

    This examination was Conducted by UPSC in two stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination.

    Preliminary examination are also called CSAT (Civil services Aptitude test) and candidates have to cracked the Preliminary examination first, Only then they are eligible to sit in Main examination, Preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in this examination and Both are Objective and the duration of Both the examination was same. Those who cracked the preliminary examination are eligible to sit for Main examination. In Main examination you have to choose one subjects as per your Graduation.

    So, If your aim is to become IPS Officer, then please complete your Graduation and then You are eligible to apply for UPSC Civil services examination and diploma candidates are not apply for This examination.

    And for this examination, your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    General candidates may appear for this examination only 4 Times, OBC Candidates will appear 7 Times and no limits for SC/ST Candidates.

    But You cant apply for this examination because you have only completed your Diploma and for thsi examination only graduate passed candidates are eligible.

    The Notification of This examination was Published in the employment Newspaper OR in the UPSC website in the Month of February. The Notification of UPSC Civil services examination was Going to be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012 and the examination was going to be held on 20/May/2012.

    So, Those who are eligible may apply for this examination online by visit the UPSC website.

    Dear friend,
    To become a IPS officer you have to appear for CSAT exam conducted by UPSC.And for CSAT min. qualification is graduation so right now you are not applicable for CSAT exam.
    First complete your graduation then youu can apply for CSAT exam.

    Eligibility for CSAT:

    1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

    2.Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs.

    3.YOu should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    4.If you are in the final semester or have taken their final degree exam but are awaiting the results can also appear for the IPS Preliminary examination provided they furnish their proof of degree while filling the Mains form.


    Procedure is follows:

    There will be two written exam and after that interviews will be there .All three are elimination round.You have to perform good in all three rounds.

    1.In pre exam two papers will be there,each of two hours a) General studies and b)Optional subject.Objective type questions will be asked.

    you want to become an IAS officer so you should know about the pattern and many more things.

    With diploma qualification,you are not eligible for Indian Public Service exam.This exam is part of Civil service exam,civil service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once.

    Eligibility criteria for IPS exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General Category candidates,21 to 33 years for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General Category candidate
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates.

    Physical Standards for civil services exams

    Minimum height of 165 cm for Men and 150 cm for Women
    Min Chest fully expanded: 84 cm for Men and 79 cm for Women
    Distant vision--6/6 or 6/9
    Near vision -----6/12 or 6/9

    Diploma holders are not eligible for this exam. You must be a graduate from a recognized university in any of the streams.
    You can still do graduation as maximum age limit is 30 yrs with relaxation for reserved categories.

    You are not eligible to apply for the IPS examination after completing the diploma course because the diploma course are not equivalent to the graduation degree. IPS examination is one of the civil services examination which is conducted once in every year by the UPSC. To appear in the IPS examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

    Eligibility criteria for the IPS examination.
    • Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognize board. The final year student are eligible to apply.
    • Age must be between 21 to 30 years. The age relaxation is applicable for the reservation category.

    This is the basic eligibility criteria for the IPS examination. If you are a diploma holder candidates then you are not eligible to apply for the IPS examination.     Sorry to say that you are not eligible for IPS after diploma .
    For IPS exam you should be graduate.

    Sorry to say that Diploma Candidate are not applicable for IPS Exam.

    IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

    Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

    But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
    In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
    Also you must be citizen of India.
