Re: How to become an IAS officer?

In order to become an IAS officer you have clear the tests and interview of civil service conducted by UPSC. There are three stages in civil service exam. The first step is to clear the CSAT which is an objective type test. There are two papers in CSAT. One is General Aptitude and second one is General Awareness. There will be 200 questions in each paper to be completed in 2 hours. Once you clear the CSAT you have to appear for mains. In mains you have to choose two subjects of your choice. You should choose subjects in which you have good fundamental knowledge and which is an area of your interest. The candidates clearing the main exam have to appear for interview. After coming out successful in interview you have to undergo training to become an IAS officer.
