    IAS stands for indian administrative service. this exam is conducted by the upsc every year. this exam consists of two stages i.e mains and preliminary. those who cracks the preliminary exam will eligible for main exams. main exam is of descriptive type and you have to choose the optional subject as per your graduation concern.
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
    >You must be graduate from a recognised university.
    >Age must be between 21 and 30 years.
    >those who graduating in final year can also apply for the exam.

    The IAS exams are conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) in ever year.
    It is a respectable post in the government.
    You have to write Civil Service Exam for Entering in to IAS.
    The Exam has 3 sections. They are

    1.Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
    2.Mains exam
    3.Interview
    For writing the Civil Service exams,you have to follow the below Eligibility Criteria:-

    **A candidate completed Bachelor Degree Graduation in any stream from any recognized university.
    **There is NO minimum percentage is required.
    **you must be a citizen of India.

    Age limit:-

    **For General candidates 21 to 30years.
    **for BC 21 to 33years.
    **for Sc/st 21 to 35years.

    Attempts:-

    **for General 4 times
    **for BC 7 times

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service and to become IAS Officer is not too Easy because you have to cracked 3 stages and then you will become IAS Officer.

    After clearing the preliminary examination you are eligible for main examination.

    If you really interest on the IAS then you have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.


    Eligibility for IAS:

    • Your must be citizen from India.

    Age qualifications:

    Your age should in between 21-30 years.

    to appear for IAS exam you have to first need to apply for it. all the three stages of the IAS exam are conducted by the union public service commission(UPSE), a constitutional body. The notification for the CIVIL servises preliminary examination will be published in the employrment news and on UPSC website on [B]04-02-2012[B] and you can apply either online of offline. The last date for receiving the filled in application form is 05-03-2012, yuu dont have to send any additional document with the application form. You have to first clear the preliminary exam after that you can attend the other two levels of the IAS examination.

    EXAM PATTERN-
    >> Preliminary exam
    >> main exam
    >> interview

    The IAS exam consist of three atages namely preliminary ,main and interview. while the preliminary exam will be objective in nature, the main will be written(subjective) while the personality test is verbal. you have to clear the preceeding stage to reach the next stage og IAS exam. for instance you need to first crack the IOAS prelim, than appear for main exam and based ion the marks in the main exam you will be called for interview.

    To become a IAS(Indian Administrative Services) officer you have to appear for CSAT exam.
    UPSC conducts CSAT exam for civil services every year.This exam is conducted to select candidates for civil services like IAS,IPS,IFS.

    Eligibility for CSAT:

    1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

    2.4 attempts if you are a general candidate,7 if you are a OBC and no limit if you are a SC/ST.

    3.You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    Procedure is follows:

    There will be two written exam and after that interviews will be there .All three are elimination round.You have to perform good in all three rounds.

    In new pattern give special emphasize on the aptitude skills and decision making skills of the participating candidates.

    1.In pre exam two papers will be there,each of two hours a) General studies and b)Optional subject.Objective type questions will be asked.

    2.Main paper comprises of 9 papers,each of three hours.One of the Indian languages,2 papers on general studies ,2 papers on option-1 and 2 papers on optional-2.

    3. In the end interview will be there.Interview will be of 5-7 hrs.

    India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

    A.)Educational Qualification:-

    1.> For general category :-

    21-30 years and can attempt 4 times.

    The procedure to become an IAS can be highlighted as follows:
    1)Preliminary examinations-
    This is the initial stage in the procedure.This is an objective examination that can be appeared by any candidate who has completed their graduation.

    2)Mains examination-
    This is the second step in the procedure.This is a subjective examination and you would have to choose subjects according to your preference

    3)Personal interview-
    This is the third and the final step in the procedure.You can appear for the interview in the choice of your language.

    If you want to become I.A.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

    I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.
    Eligibility criteria:-

    IAS i.e Indian Administration Service.

    Graduation In any Discipline from a Recognized University Or Equivalent Qualification.

    The Age should between 21 - 30 Yrs as on August 1st of the year of Examination.

    3 years Relaxation for OBC candidates.

    5 Years Relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

    Those in final year of a degree course can also Apply.

    Number of Attempts : four attempts for general,seven attempts for OBC and No limit for SC/ST.

    There is no minimum percentage for Civil Service Examination.

    The Entrance Examination Is divided Into two Stages : 1) CSAT 2) Main.

    Preliminary Examination consist of two Paper.Both paper consist of Multiple Questions.
