    How to become an IAS officer?

    HI ,
    I am doing B.A 3rd year. I want to become an IAS officer but i dont know how to start!! Please tell me how and what to do? My books knowledge is not that much great. Also tell me the format of the exam.

    As part of the exam you will need to appear for three parts to clear your way to become an IAS officer. First you will need to appear for a preliminary exam. On clearing this you will need to appear for the final exam and then the interview. The minimum qualification required for appearing for this exam is that you will need to cleared your graduation. You can also appear during the final year. The prelims will be in the month of May or June. You need to start preparation immediately. Make sure to be well versed in General Knowledge areas. Also reading newspapers is very important.

    The IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC. The eligibility to apply for the exam is a graduation from a Certified University in India. In addition, the aspirants should have Indian citizenship. The age limit should be 21-30 years. The exam is held every year. Since you are doing your final year, you are eligible in applying. To become an IAS Officer, firstly, you need to have awareness about the entire world happenings. One can appear for the exam only 4 times in his life. Do not wait till you complete your B.A, start preparing for the IAS exam immediately. You need to have knowledge in GK, English, Current affairs, and in all subjects beneath the Universe.

    Dear,
    In order to be eligible for appearing in the IAS exam you need to clear the CSAT exam conducted by the UPSC.
    The minimum educational qualification needed is to be a graduate.
    Age limitation is between 21-30 years.
    General categories have 4 attempts while reserved categories have 7 attempts.

    To be a IAS you have to appear for UPSC exam and the eligibility criteria is min. graduation.Then the UPSC exam consists of 3 parts that isre.exam , main exam, and interview.
    all the questions are based on GK,current affairs etc.and in interview you have to through all the things "UNDER THE SKY"you must know it...!!?

    IAS exam is conduted at National level for the graduates students in any discipline.The minimum age for the Qualification is 21and the maximum age is 30.IAS-Indian Adminitrative services is one of the toughest exam of the country..and it gives the royal job too.IAS is conducted by UPSC every year ,the exam is basically divided into 3 parts first will be preliminary exam in which you will have to prepare for general studies and an optional subject as well,If you clear this round you will be elligible for the main exam in which you will have to answer an English paper and one paper of any language of the country..and if luckilly you clear this stage also you will be elligible for the final round in which you will have to apear for Personal Interview infront of the board members...I must say you need to give your 100% then only you can clear this exam ...

    To apply for IAS you must be a gradauate.
    IAS exam is conducted in three levels-Prelims, Main and interview.
    Refer class vi-X books on history and geography.
    Also read as much competitive magazines as possible.it wil help you greatly.
    You can also go for joining good coaching institute.

    UPSE conducts the IAS exam each year.
    FOR IAS you should complete atleast graduation in any stream.

    and age limit for IAS IS 21 to 30 year.

    THE attempt for IAS is-
    FOR Gen-04,
    FOR OBC-07,
    FOR SC/ST-NO LIMIT.
    IAS exam have three steps:-(1) pre exam,(2) main,(3) interview.

    • Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
    • Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
    • Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
    • General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
    • General science.

    Paper II (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs

    • Comprehension
    • Interpersonal skills including communication skills
    • Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    • Decision making and problem solving
    • General mental ability
    • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
    • English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
    • Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language

    YOU TAKE THE SYLLABOS OF IAS EXAM AND NO NEED TO COMPLETE ALL THE PORTION BUT ATLEAST FINISH 60% OF SYLLABUS AS U WISH

    Determination, grit and constant hard work is essential to achieve this high feat.

    Three stages:
    1) preliminary examination - This year the pattern has been change. There is two papers namely paper-1 and paper-2. Paper-1 consists of general studies, current affairs, constitution, science, geography,etc... and Paper-2 named CSAT consists of logical reasoning, comprehension, analytical ability, basic numeracy and data interpretation.
    2) There are 5 papers namely Any Indian language, English, Essay, General studies, optional-1, optional-2.

    Indian Engineering Service (IES) exam is conducted by UPSC in every year.
    This exam is conducted in the two step.
    1. Preliminary exam.
    2. Main exam.

    as you are pursuing ba final now ;it is the perfect ytime to start preparing for the ias examinations.one need to keep patience and be very updated while giving this exam.
    eligibilty:graduate from any stream from a recognized university

    to start with first of all take the guidance from any caoaching institute or counsellor or somebody who is preparing for or an ias or an educationist
    he will tell you in a proper way how to prepare for the exams
    start preparing for it as early as possible now as it is your final year

    prelims
    mains
    interview
    to appear in mains you need to qualify the prelims first
    now a new pattern CSAT is being introduced in the prelims,now it has 2 papers
    1-general studies
    2-csat i.e.aptitude

    Hello, its good u want to be IAS officer for this u hve to do:-
    1. complete ur graduation with more than 60%
    2.than u have to give CDS exam and than SSB these exam r the entrace exam of any defence field
    3. for clearing CDS exam it is not that much easy so u requred a training for that they will train u for SSB also
    as it is more hard than CDS
    4.SSB is a interview in that they ask u phycological questions which is not that much easy
    5.if u clear written exam of CDS than u have go for 5days SSB exam if u clear that also than u are slected for the officer

    To become an IAS officer you have to qualify a process of examination starting from the CSAT(civil services aptitude test).
    Following is the procedure
    1.Preliminary objective test or CSAT
    2.Final subjective written test
    3.Personal interview

    Eligibility criteria
    1.You should be a bachelor's degree holder from a government recognized university.
    2.Your age should be in between 21-30(Relaxation for OBC and ST/SC are 3 years and 5 years respectively)
    3.Maximum number of attempts allowed:
    OC-4
    OBC-7
    ST/SC-No Limit

    To become an IAS officer,You need to crack the Civil Service Examination.

    There is three levels of IAS Exam.
    1)Preliminary
    2)Main
    3)Interview

    To Apply for IAS You must be a Graduate.And You should have a minimum 21 yrs of age and Maximum 30 yrs age.The upper age limit will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
    First You need to crack the Preliminary Examination.There is a two papers of Multiple choice Questions carrying a Maximum 400 Marks.This Examination You should Prepare for Current Events,History of India,
    English,Decision Making,Logical Reasoning and Problem solving...etc.You start the Preparation from Current Events daily read the Newspapers and gather Information.Any candidate can crack the single attempt
