    Food Inspector Exam

    Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country.

    Structure and Pattern of the All India Food Inspector Exam

    The test pattern comprises of questions on technical side, which includes science subjects.

    It also consists of numerical ability and GK questions.

    There will also be an English language test.

    The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

    Aspirants need to be very careful in attending the unknown questions, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Qualification Criteria for the All India Food Inspector Exam

    Graduates in medicine who have gone through training in food inspection are qualified to attend the test.

    Otherwise, the aspirants should have completed the bachelors’ degree in any of the science subjects.

    They must have studied Chemistry as a subject in their qualifying course.

    Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the test.

    Only aspirants from certified Universities are qualified for the exam.

    Those who are having an equivalent degree can also apply for the test.


    Application Procedure of the All India Food Inspector Exam

    To obtain the forms, applicants can rely up on the general post offices within the country.

    As the test is conducted all over India, applicants can procure the same from any GPO offices across the country by remitting the required application fee.

    After filling the forms, applicants should send it to the official address of UPSC.

    Food inspector examination is conducted by UPSC as well state Public service commission.

    The main function of food inspector is to Examine the food quality and quantity in various industries/hotels/organization and etc
    .The eligibility criteria and others criteria are given below-

    You must be a graduate in Medicine.

    Or
    Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject
    or
    A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology.....This is educational Qualification required for Food inspector exam.

    Your age should be in between 21 t0 30 years old.Age relaxation provide for Reserved category.

    You must have at-least one month training in Food inspection and sampling work approved by the Central Government or State Government.

    Food inspector Qualifications :

    candidates must be complete a degree ( Biotechnology , medicine , science subjects) / B. pharma from a recognized university

    Age limit :
    candidates age between 21 to 30 years for General candidates
    33 years for OBC candidates
    35 years for SC/ST candidates

    food inspector sees that the food is safer to eat.you can do this after your gradtion also as requirement is undergraduate level.to become a food inspector you should get an undergraduate degree from any recognised university or else you can get in fiels agriculture,biology,chemistry.next take certificationclasses from the local burea.after that get enrolled in USDA INSPECTION TRAINING PROGRAMME.program is at both introductary and senoir levels also.you can be hired by many industries in india as well as in foreign.but in applying for it always place one year experience in your resume.

    Here are the eligibility requirements to become food inspector after degree.

    Eligibility :

    You should be an Indian
    You must have 21years as your min.age to apply for this exam
    You must be graduate in food safety fields
    If you have taken biology,chemistry or ariculture also eligible

    You should write the entrance exams like ;
    UPSC exam
    All India Food Inspector exam etc to get selected.

    Food inspector is responsible for giving inspections every time. Mainly he is responsible for Food processing and hazards etc.
    You can get around 15k per month as a starting pay.

    Age Limit (as on 2012):

    18 to 35 years

    Reservation:

    Reservation shall be as per the policy/instructions of the Punjab Government. It shall include candidates of:- SC/ST, BC, EX-Servicemen

    You may become food inspector by giving various food inspector exam.for this the required eligibility criteria is shown below:

    Eligibility criteria:

    1. You must be graduates in any of the science subjects/agriculture / pharmacy / food technology/ dairy technology from a recognized college.Final year appearing candidates can also apply for Food Inspector exam.

    2. Age - The age criteria is given below

    >21 Years to 30 Years for General candidates

    >21 Years to 33 Years for OBC candidates

    >21 Years to 35 Years for SC / ST candidates.

    3. Nationality - Indian
