    The District Collector is the district head of administration of the bureaucracy in a state of India. Though he/she is appointed and is under general supervision of the state government, he/she has to be a member of the elite IAS recruited by the Central Government.

    If you want to become a district collector then you have to appear for CSAT exam conducted by UPSC every year.

    You must have heard about IAS(Indian Administration Service ),after clearing the IAS you will become a district collector.

    But for that you have to appear for CSAT exam.It is very difficult to clear the exam.


    Eligibility for CSAT:

    1.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

    2.Four attempts if you are a general candidate , seven if you are a OBC and no limit if you are a SC/ST.

    3.You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    In CSAT steps are there.

    Becoming a collector is high responsibility job.You need clear the The civil service exam IAS.Civil service exam are conducted by the UPSC EVERY YEAR.IAS examination also conducted by the UPSC.For appearing in the IAS examination you need to first complete your graduation in any stream from a recognized university.For appearing in the civil service examination your age must be lie between 21 years to 3o years.after this you have to appear in the CSAT exam which is also conducted by the UPSC.Then after you can work as DIST. COLLECTOR.

    Eligibility for CSAT:

    => You should have a graduate degree from any college which is recognized by UGC, or possess an equivalent qualification.

    => You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age,

    => Relaxation for OBCs are 3 years i.e. 33 years old.

    => For SCs/STs Are 5 years i.e. 35 years old.

    ::Number of attempts::

    district collector is the district head of the state.district collector is responsible for maintainig law and order i nthe state.he is the important colonial officer of the state.he is appointed by central government of india..if you want to become a district collector first you have to attempt for the civils examination conducted by upsc.in this you have three stages prelims,mains and interview.
    eligibility:
    you should be citizen of india
    when you will apply for this post you have to be 21 years of age.
    you should be a graduate from the recognised university
    you have chance of 4 times to attempt this examination
    coming to the syllabus you have to prepare well on the society issue basis ,you have to read the news papers to know what is hapening in the socitey and as well as about hecurent affaris.you should have good command over english.during interview you have to answer truthfully they will be testing your personality.you have to think answer to the question

    To became a district collector, you have to pass in CIVILS exam conducted by UPSC once in a year.
    Collector means IAS officer.
    Eligibility criteria to appear for CIVILS:
    1) must be a graduate in any discipline
    2) must be citizen of India
    3) age should be between 21 and 30 years, age relaxation will be for reservation categories.

    You can become a collector only after becoming IAS officer. Generally it takes 8 years after becoming an IAS.

    You can go for IAS(Indian Administrative Service) if you scored good rank in CIVILS which is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.

    Attempts :
    If you belong to the “Open Category” you can give the exam 4 times maximum!
    If you belong to the “OBC” you can give the exam 7 times.
    If you belong to the “SC/ST” you can give the exam as many times as you want. There is no restriction on the number of times!

    How to apply ?
    The “Application Form” and “Information Brochure” can be obtained from the “Head Post Offices or Post Offices” throughout the country.

    The filled Application Form should be sent to:
    Secretary,
    Union Public Service Commission,
    Dholpur House,
    New Delhi - 110011.

    IAS will be done in 3phases:
    1.Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT)
    2.Main Exams

    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    You must be a citizen of India.
    Age limits:
    You must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
    The upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below:

    General Science- NCERT books on science, a science magazine or newspaper supplements on science.
    Current Events- A national newspaper, The Competition Master, newsmagazines.
    General Mental Ability- Do the Quantitative Aptitude published in The Competition Master, past test papers.
    Organisational Design: Khandwala; Madhukar Shukla
    Organisational Behaviour: Luthans and Robbins- for some portions Blanchart is also good.

    To become a district collector............you need to write ..........IAS ...........examination............

    IAS ------ INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES...............

    IPS ------- INDIAN POLICE SERVICES......

    The IAS Syllabus and other services like the IPS and Income Tax is the same................., as it is a single exam conducted by UPSC and the syllabus is also set by the UPSC.

    if you want to be District Collector then you have to follow these steps -

    first complete your graduation degree with 50% in any stream from a recognized university.

    you have to face IAS exam for become District collector.

    Eligibility -

    you must citizen of India.
    you must be graduated.
    your age must between 21 - 30 years.
    Age relaxation -
    5 years for SC/ST
    3 years for OBC.

    you must be physically fit.

    two stages for IAS -

    Written Exam
    Interview


    after Interview you have to go for training.

    You want to be a collector.It is a good thought,good ambition.
    You can be distric collector by qualifying UPSC exa.
    UPSC conduct every year exam for IAS,IPS and IES.
    You should complete your graduation.After graduation you are eligible to sit in UPSC exam.
    UPSC exam pattern:-
    Preliminary and Mains.
    Attempt for student:-
    General -4 attempts.
    OBC - 7 attempts.
    SC/ST - no limit.

    Eligibility:-
    You must be Indian
    Age between- 21 to 30
    Relaxation time for obc 5 year,for sc/st 7 year.
