After 10th you will have to choose the commerce stream to join the CA and for that purpose you have to join the ICAI

For becoming a Chartered Accountant(CA), you have to follow 3 steps:-
1) first you have to register with ICAI for CPT( common proficiency test )
2) after passing this you again have to register with ICAI for IPCC/PCC( integrated proficiecy competence examination)
3) after that three years of articleship,then you are eligibile to sit in the C.A. final examination
but according to the new norm of ICAI ,you can't do your articleship along with your graduation.

To become a chartered accountant (CA) u need to take commerce stream in ur +2.U have to register to ICAI.
Following are the steps for becoming a CA:
1)Clear ur 10th
2)Clear ur intermediate
3)Clear CPT entrance exam
4)After 9 months clear ur IPCC(2 groups will b there)
5)Clear ur CA final.
To become a CA it takes around 4.5 years on whole.

You should choose Commerce stream after 10 th standard

While you are in 12th register yourself for CPT.
CPT stands for Common profeciency test.
This test has to be cleared to study charted accountancy course.
After clearing CPT you will have to register for PCC- Professional Competency Course.
After this exam you need to do internship or practical training.
Then you have to appear for Final examination .

To become a Chartered Accountant you can enrol after your 10th only and can start preparing for the CA first stage exam CPT. You can give exam of CPT only after the completion of your 12th. Can i pursue CA after doing economics honours?

Of course,you should choose commerce in your 12th if you wish to become a charterd accountant in future because in your 12th,you will study accountancy in commerce stream which will give you the basics of accountancy.After doing your 12th,you will have to appear in CA entrance exam i.e,CPT.For CPT,you have to register yourself with ICAI which you can do before your 12th.It will cost you Rs. 6,000.So,first do your 12th from commerce stream and then appear for CPT.Best of luck.

CA is a very vast course. A candidate must be 12th pass with good marks and from a reputed college can give exams of CA.
There are many exams which a candidate has to give to become CA.
There are many exams like Frst you'll have to clear CPT, then IPCC then IPCW and then CA final.
These exams are very tough.

To become Charted accountant you need to complete your 10+2 with commerce. if you take commerce in 10+2 then it becomes easy to study CA as both has similar subjects.
