    FRIEND,

    To be an Aeronautical engineer you must first appear in the entrance exams of the aeronautical engineering entrance exams and then if you are selected then you will be given a seat in that college.

    So first of all apply for the application forms of the different colleges and then appear in the entrance exams of those and clear them.

    For this you must have completed 12th class or going to appear for the Board exams.

    Your age must be above 17 years.

    Exam Pattern

    Graduate level

    The paper has 2 parts.
    • Paper I - This has a period of 3 hours
    • Paper II - This has a period of 3 hours
    Both these papers shall have 2 separate sections on Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The questions posed in these papers shall be of the objective nature. The answers are given the full marks if answered correctly and negative marks are given if answered incorrectly.

    Postgraduate level

    This paper will carry a total of 150 questions and is divided into 3 separate parts.
    • Part I - here 20 questions shall be asked and each shall hold one mark
    • Part II - here 55 questions shall be asked and each shall hold 2 marks
    • Part III - here 10 questions shall be asked and each shall hold 2 marks
    Multiple choices shall be given to all questions and out of this only one option will be correct. In the evaluation of this paper, negative marking is adopted.

    If you want to become an aeronautical Engineer then First of all you should be Eligible for taking admission in Engineering i.e.

    1. You should have PCM as your subject in 12th

    2. You should obtain min. 50% marks in PCM and you should have passed 12th.

    If you fulfill those criterias then only thing you have to do is appear in some exams like :

    >AIEEE
    >IIT
    >state Entrance test for Engineering.
    >IIST

    Where IIST is best of them for Aeronautical Engineering.

    Aerospace Engineering is the most challenged egineering descipline with a wide scope for growth.
    Aerospace engineering involve design of high technology equipments for defence, space exploration and aviation.

    To become aeronautical engineer , you must have science with non medical in class 12th.
    After that you should go for BE in aerospace engineering.
    For that , You have to qualify entrance exams like AIEEE , ISRO etc. with a very good rank.

    Eligibility criteria for Aeronautical Engineering course:
    1.You must have Physics, Chemistry, Maths in (10+2)
    2.You must have minimum of 60% in 12th Standard.
    3.You should not be more than 20 Years.

    To get admission into Aeronautical Engineering course in good college allover India you have to appear for the entrance exams
    IITJEE: Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Exam
    AIEEE: All India Engineering Entrance Examination
    BITSAT: Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test

    So I suggest you to opt Pure Science model for your 12th study.

    In order to become an Aeronautical Engineer, you should complete your 12th class. You need to opt for science stream in 12th class to get in to this field. You need to study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 12th class. The percentage of marks required in 12th class is 50%. You should appear for Common Entrance examinations conducted at the national level or state level to secure admission for this course. You can appear for either AIEEE/JEE exam as part of selection. Based on the score that you secure in entrance examination you can apply in reputed colleges for aeronautical engineering. You need to attend Counseling if you get short listed based on the score in entrance exam.

    To do engineering course in any discipline you should take Physics, Chemistry
    and Mathematics subjects in 10+2.

    Aeronautical Engineering is a specific case of Aerospace Engineering.

    If you want to make a career in this field your first choice should be Aerospace and then Aeronautical Engineering.
