Re: How to apply for IAS exam after MBA?

Basically for pursuing the IAS stream you need only the graduation degree. MBA will be an added advantage for you. It is advisable that you apply for the exam when you are in your second year of MBA. You will need to first clear the preliminary exam. As part of that you need to be well prepared for the General Studies area. Also you need choose from any of the optional subjects. Prepare well in the same. On clearing that you will need to appear for the main exam. There will be a paper of General Studies again. Also you need to prepare for a paper in English and any one for the regional languages in the country. Only after you clear the Main exam will you be called for the interview. The interview is also an important part of the selection procedure. Make sure to prepare well in all the areas.
