    CLAT is stands for Common Law Admission Test .This exam is conducted for admission for LLB & LLM course .

    If you have completed 12th standard from any stream with above 50% marks then you are eligible to attend in CLAT exam for admission in Under graduate course .If you want to apply for Post graduate course , then you must have BL or LLB degree with above 55% marks .The candidate age should not be more than 20 Years for under graduate course .So this year is your last attempts year .

    Yes , M.Com student are applicable CLAT Exam

    Hi,

    CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is an entrance exam for admission into L.L.B.

    You are not eligible to apply for this exam because the candidate must be below 20 years to write this exam.

    Also you should have 50% in your 12th standard.

    Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised test for admission to prominent National Law Universities in India.

    The test is taken after the Higher Secondary Examination or the 12th grade for admission to integrated undergraduation programmes in Law and after Graduation in Law for Master of Laws(LL.M) programmes conducted by these law universities.

    This test was conducted for the first time on 11 May 2008 by NLSIU-Bangalore.

    A total number of 1037 seats from seven law schools were offered to be filled by the test.

    The results of the first CLAT were announced on May 19, 2008.

    The two-hour admission test consists of objective type covering questions on English, general knowledge, basic mathematics, besides legal and logical reasoning.

    The second CLAT, for the academic year 2009-10, was conducted on 17 May 2009 by Nalsar-hyderabad and subsequently by the preceding NLU(s) according to their establishment.

    Eligibility for CLAT

    Undergraduate Programmes (LLB) Candidates who wish to join this course must have a pass in class 12 with a minimum score of 50 percent marks. Those candidates who are going to write their finals are suitable to apply for this course too.

    Postgraduate Programmes (LLM) As to get admission into this course, the students are required to have a LLB degree. The certification should be from a recognized University. The students must have achieved a minimum of 50 percent marks. It is also possible for students who are appearing for their finals to apply for this course. But, their admission will be provisional until they submit their results with the stipulated marks.

    Basic Eligibility for CLAT

    Undergraduate Programmes (LLB) Candidates who wish to join this course must have a pass in class 12 with a minimum score of 50 percent marks.

    Postgraduate Programmes (LLM) As to get admission into this course, the students are required to have a LLB degree. The certification should be from a recognized University.

    The students must have achieved a minimum of 50 percent marks.

    Age Qualification for CLAT


    Candidates who are applying for the graduate program should not be above 20 years of age. An upper age limit relaxation of 2 years is granted for students of the reserve categories as well as students who are disabled. No age limit is mentioned in case of students who wish to go for the postgraduate program.

    CLAT Syllabus


    Total Marks : 200 Total number of questions : 200 English + Comprehension: 40 Marks General Knowledge/Current Affairs: 50 Marks Elementary Mathematics: 20 Marks (Numerical ability) Legal GK: 45 Marks Logical Reasoning: 45 Marks

    CLAT Cutoff

    Overall paper was easy as expected. Some students found GK section tough. CLAT 2010 Expected cutoff: Overall cutoff = 130+ NLS Bangalore = 160+ NALSAR Hyderabad = 152 160 NUJS Kolkata = 145 152 NLIU Bhopal = 140 145 NLU Jodhpur = 138 145
