    Haryana Diploma Entrance Test (DET)

    The Haryana State Counseling Society conducts the DET exam. The society is affiliated to the Department of Technical Education; Haryana Government. DET test is held for admitting eligible candidates to different Diploma Engineering programmes. The aspirants who pass the Haryana Diploma Entrance Test exam will be admitted to the Polytechnic colleges in Haryana. Admission will be done according to the ranks secured in the test. The diploma programme is of three-year duration. The aspirants can indicate their choices among different courses and specializations as per their interest at the time of admission.

    Structure and Pattern of Haryana DET
    The DET exam covers objective type questions. There is no negative marking for the incorrect answers. The time limit of the exam will be 100 minutes. The exam paper contains questions on subjects like Mathematics and Science. Paper would also include questions from English, and General Awareness. In addition to these questions testing knowledge in subject areas, there will be Aptitude questions as well. The examination questions carry 100 marks. Test will be available in both English and Hindi language.

    Qualification Criteria of Haryana DET
    The eligibility criterion for applying for the test is a pass in the SSLC examination from the Haryana Board of School Education. The aspirants who have passed an equivalency exam are also qualified for applying. However, it is necessary that the candidate should have obtained pass marks in the Maths and Science subjects in the 10th class.

    Application Procedure of Haryana DET
    Application forms for the test are issued in all Government or aided Polytechnic colleges. It can also be procured from a few private polytechnic colleges and from the Directorate of Technical Education, Haryana by remitting the form fees. The completely filled in forms are required to be submitted to the official address before the last date.
