IAS exam is a highly competitive exam which requires high amount of preparation. It is equally important to know about the pattern and structure of this exam before starting your studies in relation to this. Your studies should be based on model question papers which can be downloaded from UPSC site. By referring this, one can get a general idea about the type of questions asked in this exam. If you are interested you can join some coaching institutes providing exam preparation training. You should be updated about current events. Take mock tests in between in order to analyze your level of studies. It is better to prepare short notes at the end of each chapter so that a quick revision can be done at the end of it.
