After passing 10th class with more then 60% marks you are eligible to get admission in the polytechnic colleges. But before that you have to pass the entrance exam which is to be conducted at the every state every year. If you want to change your stream then after clearing one year you can direct take admission in B.Tech 2nd year.

if you are interested in engineering field and you dont want to do +2 before that you can go for polytechnic.
As a diploma holder also you can seek job in companies or govt sector. But the pay scale will be acc to that only.

If you are doing a +2 ....with maths n physics, you can directly get into BTech thru entrance.
Total number of years of study will be same if you do 3yrs poly + 3yrs BTech ( as you can geet into 2nd yr of BTech thru lateral entry) or 2yrs 12th + 4yrs BTech.

But the benefit of doing +2 is that....you can join various other Bachelor degree other than engineering.
Most of the degree course admission eligibility is 10+2.

So choose wisely considering your capabilities and field of interest.

I am happy to see your interest in the polytechnic. If you want to go for the polytechnic for diploma then you should fill the entrance exam form.The forms are available in the any government polytechnic institute. The polytechnic course is known as the diploma course.

If you are eligible for the entrance exams of the polytechnic then you can get admission in the polytechnic after the counselling.

You can go for the polytechnic course after the 10th, If you not interested in 12th.You can get admission in polytechnic institute after the 10th.

1) If you want to do your 12th then you can go for the B.tech course.The B.tech course is a degree in the engineering line. If you go for B.tech after the 12th then the course is 4 years.

2) And if you do polytechnic ( after 10th) and after go for the B.tech then the duration of B.tech is 3 years.

Poly technique is a 3 year diploma course which a students can pursue after passing class 10th exam.This course is diploma in engineering and to pursue this course there are many entrance exams at the state level conducted by different states for admission in the government Poly technique colleges .Its the choice of many students who wants to pursue their career in engineering as after completing their diploma through lateral entry you can directly get admission in the 2 nd year of degree college in engineering .

well dear you can have admissiom in polytechnic if you have minimum 60% in 10th and also you have to clear entrance exam .
There are also private colleges who take admissions directly.

If you polytechnic which is a type of diploma in engineering just after 10th it will take 3 years and after that you can have lateral entry in b.tech
3+3=6 years.

But if you do +2 with math physics and chemistry and after that clear exam to get b.tech it will take 2+4=6 yr.

But the value of +2 and b.tech is more favourable as you will get a higher package job as compared to polytechnic.

After 10th diploma is best .nothing is better than this.large number of students are doing diploma after 10th. It is the best choice as +2 holder do not have to much practical knowledge and companies during placement look not only for marks but for the students who have good practical knowledge and that is only with diploma holders. If you qualify in this......you can get the seat in polytechnic college.....
