Total no of vacancies: 2296

Name of the post: Sub Inspector (SI) in Different Departments

1. Civil (Men): 1238
2. AR (Men): 306
3. SARCPL (Men): 10
4. APSP(Men): 406
5. APSP (Men) 15th bat: 17
6. SPF(Men): 68
7. Station Fire Officers in A.P Fire & Emergency Service: 21
8. Civil(Women): 230

you should have an age between 21 to 25 years as on 01-07-2011 for SI vacancies & 18 to 30 years for Station Fire Officers vacancies.if you are belonging to SC/ST have to pass Intermediate or equivalent recognized by the State Government and should have studied Degree. Candidates who possess higher qualification will be given preference.

Selection procedure: Candidates are selected on the basis of preliminary selection test, Physical Efficiency test, written test & Interview.

It's glad to see your interest in SI(Sub Inspector) Selections. AP state has recently release a notification regarding the SI posts and vacancies. I will provide you all the details of it.

Eligibility :

• You should have a degree from a recognized university.
• Inter is enough if you are SC/ST
• Your age should be between 21-25 years!
• 5 years age relaxation for BC,SC/ST

Selection procedure :

SI selection will be done through 2 ways:
1.Physical tests
2.Written Tests

Physical test :

1. A initial 5 kilometer run which should be completed in 25 minutes
2. A 100 meter sprint which should be completed in 15 seconds
3. A long jump in which you should jump a distance of 3.80 meters
4. A shot put throw which should be thrown a distance of 5.60 meters
5. A high jump in which a jump of 1.2 meters is required
6. An 800 meter run which should be completed in 170 seconds

Written Test :

Written test for SI of police consists of 4 papers.

Paper 1: English (Descriptive) : 50 questions, 100 marks

Paper 2: Telugu (Descriptive) : 50 questions, 100 marks

Paper 3: Arithmetic, test of reasoning,Mental ability : 200 marks

Paper 4: General studies : 200 marks.

English and Telugu papers are only a qualifying paper and the marks in that section won’t count in making the merit list.

For OC, BC, ST/SC aspirants the qualifying marks in these two sections are 40, 35 and 30 marks respectively.
