You need to attend the Civil services exam for becoming an IAS officer. You can attend this exam after completing your engineering graduation. The minimum qualification for attending the IAS exam is a graduation in any discipline. Itís important to obtain the graduation from a recognized university or college. You can prepare for this exam by joining some coaching institutes. You also need to know the various subject areas where in you will be tested for this exam. In the first part i.e. CSAT there will be aptitude oriented questions. If you clear it you need to prepare for any subjects mentioned in the official site. After that there will be the interview and the physical fitness test. You can refer the previous year question papers for preparing for this exam.
