    Maharashtra public service commission is the authority which recruits candidates for the post of Sub Inspector of police in that state. Candidates who are graduates can apply for this sub inspector post. Graduates can choose any subject so as to apply for this post. 27 years is the maximum age for this post. Selection will be through PSC exam conducted in the state of Maharashtra. If you can pass in this exam you will be called for Physical test. You have to be medically fit and should also adhere to medical standards specified. If you clear physical test, you can attend personal interview also.

    MPSC - Maharashtra Public Service Commission is the administering authority for conducting Maharashtra State Civil Services examination in the state.

    MPSC conducts examinations for appointment to the various civil services of the state.


    MPSC PSI Exam

    Eligibility Criteria:-

    Age Requirements:-

    (a) OBC: 35 years
    (b) SC/ST/NT: 38 years
    (c) Open Category: 33yrs / for PSI exams it is 28 yrs


    Educational Qualifications:- A candidate must be a graduate.

    PHYSICAL STANDARDS:-

    For male candidates only

    Height (in cms):- 165

    Chest (in cms )

    Unexpanded - 79
    Expanded - 84

    For Female candidates only

    Height (in cms):- 157


    MPSC PSI Exam Paper Pattern:-

    There are three stages of PSI Exam ,Preliminary Examination ,Main Examination, Physical Test and Interview.

    Preliminary Examination consist of 150 Questions,300 Marks and Timing is 11/2 hours
    .

    The Main Examination has multiple choice type of questions. Syllabus is of MPSC Civil Service Preliminary exam kind.Question Paper is in both English and Marathi medium.


    This exam is conducted at 4 places in Maharashtra:Mumbai,Pune , Aurangabad , Nagpur.Students who clear the Main Examination are called for the Physical Test. after which is the Interview.

    After the result of PSI Main Examination there is a Physical Test
    .

    Only those who score more than 100 marks qualify for the Interview.

    75 Marks for Interview.

    Pull-Ups - 40 Marks
    Long Jump - 30 Marks
    Shortput - 30 Marks
    Running(800 mtrs.)[in 2.30 mins] 100 Marks

    Total - 200 Marks


    Interview:-

    Only those who score more than 100 marks qualify for the Interview.

    75 Marks for Interview.
