    BSNL - JTO exam will be of three hours duration with one question paper contains three sections.

    Section-I : Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-II : Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-III : General Awareness Test : 20 questions

    Electrical Branch Section-I:
    1. EM Theory.
    2. Electrical Materials.
    3. Electrical Circuits.
    4. Measurements and Instrumentation.
    5. Control systems.

    Electrical Branch Section-II:

    2. Power systems.

    You must have B-Tech degree in following department-

    Computer science
    civil engineering
    electrical
    telecommunication
    radio

    Final year students can also apply.

    Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.

    Pattern for BSNL JTO Exam:-

    For JTOs(Telecom)

    Section-I : Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-II : Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-III : General Ability Test : 20 questions

    For JTOs(Electrical)

    Section-I : Electrical Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-II : Electrical Engineering stream: 50 questions

    Section-III : General Awareness : 20 questions

    For JTOs (Civil)

    Section-I : Civil Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-II : Civil Engineering stream : 50 questions

    Section-III : General Ability Test : 20 questions

    BSNL Exam For JTOs(Telecom)

    Section-I : Engineering stream :50 questions

    Section-III: General Ability Test : 20 questions

    For JTOs (Civil)

    Section-I: Civil Engineering stream :50 questions
    Section-II: Civil Engineering stream :50 questions
    Section-III: General Ability Test :20 questions

    The Question Paper will be fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of paper in engineering subjects will be that of Engineering Examination of an Indian University.

    Eligibility for JTOs(Telecom):-

    Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university:
    i. Telecommunication,
    ii. Electronics,
    iii. Radio,
    iv. Computer,
    v. Electrical,
    vi. Information Technology,
    vii. Instrumentation.

    Eligibility for JTOs (Civil):-

    Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University.

    Age: The external applicant for JTOs (Telecom), JTOs (Civil) should not be more than 30 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications.

    BSNL- JTO (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.- Junior Telecom. Officers)

    Eligibility:

    Nationality: Only Indian Nationals would be eligible to apply.

    Educational Qualifications:

    JTO (Telecom)

    Applicant must possess a Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university:

    Telecommunication

    Electronics

    Radio

    Computer

    Electrical

    Information Technology

    Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply.

    JTO (Civil)

    Applicant must possess a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution/University. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply .

    JTO (Electrical)

    Applicant must possess a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution/University. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply.

    BSNL JTO Exam Pattern and Syllabus
    Your syllabus for the JTO exam is divided into different section and your syllabus will fully depend upon the graduation course you have pursued. You must better be well prepared as you can be asked any basic questions relating your main engineering stream. So a thorough knowledge upon the fundamentals is expected from the applicants.There are many sample books that will provide you with excellent study materials and your chances to crack the examination will increase if you go through all the latest sample papers.

    The examination will be conducted for period of 3 hours and it consists of the following sectional papers.

    Engineering Stream C Section 1
    *. Network Theory
    *. Material and Components
    *. Electronic Devices, Physical Electronics and ICs
    *. Electromagnetic Theory
    *. Power Electronics
    *. Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation
    Engineering Stream C Section 2
    *. Control Systems
    *. Digital Electronic Circuits
    *. Analog Electronic Circuits
    *. Microwave Engineering
    *. Microprocessors
    *. Communication Systems
    *. Computer Engineering
    General Ability Test C Section 3
    In this section, your language skill most appropriately it can be said knowledge of English is beings tested through comprehension and other simple exercises. Along language test there are also other topics covered in this exam like social knowledge, logical application, general awareness. Also, there would be questions related to Geography, communication progress of India.
    These types of questions would be quite general which any educated person will be able to answer, without the need to have a good study about these subjects.
