    Dear friend,

My friend if you want to become a lecturer then you have to appear for NET exam.

But as you have not completed your M.Sc so you are not eligible to appear for NET exam.

NET(National Eligibility Test ) is conducted by UGC to select candidates for lecturer post in colleges.

There are 2 types of Posts for which you can apply in NET:
    1.Lectureship post

    2.Junior Research Fellowship

    Eligibility for NET:

1.Your age must be within 28 years for JRF,5years age relaxation for SC/ST,BC and PH .

2.You must have done your post graduation degree with min. 50% marks.

3.If you are in Final year of your PG then you are also eligible for NET exam.

    Pattern of NET Exam:

NET exam consists of 3 different Papers:

All three papers are objective type from this time on.

    Paper I contains

    - General Knowledge
    - Current Affairs
    - Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Methods

    Paper II contains

    - Your Core subject.

    Paper III contains

    - Your core subject.

In all 3 papers negative marking will be there.

Paper I and II exams are conducted during Day time and Paper III will be conducted afeternoon on the Same day.

You have to do a lot of hard work to clear this exam.Competition in very tough.

    best of lk...

You can appear for both SET/NET exams only after you successfully complete your PG. 55% mark in PG is necessary to attend this exam. Relaxation in marks is given to other backward category candidates. A valid score in SET exam will make you eligible to apply for teaching posts in particular state colleges from which you have attended the exam. On the other hand, a NET score will help you apply for lecturer in any government colleges at the national level. NET/SET exam is compulsory to apply for lecturer posts in government recognized colleges. Nowadays, certain private colleges also require this score.

NET and SET both the examination is conducted for Lectruership post but Net is National level examination and SET is state level examination.

Through Net you get lectruership post in any state of India.

And through SET you get colleges for desired states for which you have applied.

    Educational qualification :

you must have Post gradaution degree in any stream from a recognized university minimum passed with 55 % .

Educational qualification for both the examination is same .

For sc or st 50 % is required........

For JRF maximum age limit is 28 years .

And for lectruership post : no age limit.
