As correctly mentioned by you GATE exam will not be conducted for those aspiring to go in for Master's in Pharmacy stream. So there is no need to appear for this exam. You can however appear for the NIPER exam and there is no need to have GATE score to appear for this exam. To appear for this exam make sure you have 60% in aggregate in your Bachelors course. If the grading is CGPA then you must have atleast 6.75 out of the scale of 10. For candidates who belong to the SC/ST caste a score of 55% or 6.25 C.G.P.A is required. Also you must be pursuing the course from a recognised institute. You can appear for the exam when you are in the final year of graduation. The forms should be available in the month of June. The qualification criterion for the M. Pharm course in NIPER is a graduation in Pharmacy. The percentage requirement is 60% and above in the eligibility exam. In addition, you should have secured the valid score in the GPAT / GATE / NET entrance tests. GATE is not the only option for you. If Pharmacy students are not eligible for the GATE exam from this year onwards, you can attend any of the other exams like GPAT or NET. There may be some other option also for B.Pharm students. Better, enquire the NIPER office for more information. Otherwise, visit the authorized site of the institute for clarifying your doubts.

GATE examination is not for Pharmacy Candidates, It is only for MCA, B.tech Candidates. And to do M.pharmacy Course, You have to appear in NIPER Examination. And to apply for NIPER you must have done your Bachelor’s or Masters degree in respective discipline according to the course for which you wants to apply. Dear Shilpa, as you wrote that GATE is no more for pharmacy students,but there is an exam named GPAT(Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test),is started two years before for those who wanna take admission in M.Pharm after the completion of B.Pharm.you can prepare for GPAT from now onwards and till final semester,you will be skillful to write GPAT,and with the good rank,you can easily get admission in NIPER.All the best!!

Dear freind dont worry govt. Has launched GPAT exam for pharmacy students only.For NIPER exam you must appear in GPAT exam and crack the exam to get good college or NIPER,while doing m.pharm you will be able to get scholarship or as pocket money.So better is to crack GPAT exam.All the best!

respected sir, i have a doubt ie., sir while filling gpat online application i have done a mistake dat i changed my category into general because at that time sum ppl told dat BC and OBC r different.so i hve choosen general option. but after getting results i was qualified in gpat according 2 minimum mark of OBc. sir actual problem is im interested 2 go 4 niper exam.for dat gpat qualification is essential nw what to do sir shall i apply for niper. please give me a solution 2 my problem sir im waiting for our reply .OR u can post a reply 2 my e-mail i.d

The minimum eligibility for mpharm is: you finished your graduation in pharmacy field and then your mark percentage is 60%. You write entrance exam also. Good luck

For Admission to M.PHARM through MAH-MPH-CET 2011 Candidates:

Candidate should be an Indian National and who possess Bachelors degree or
equivalent in Pharmacy from an AICTE approved institutions, with at least 50 %
marks (at least 45% marks in case of SC/ST category belonging to Maharashtra
State only)

AND

Should have Non zero Score in MAH-MPH-CET 2011, if the candidate has neither
appeared for GPAT nor having valid and qualified GPAT score.

Other eligibility criteria:

For Sponsored seats:

The eligible candidate as per rule no 1.6 should submit a Certificate from his / her employer strictly as per Annexure - II with following documents
Appointment letter
Joining letter
Current experience certificate
Sponsorship letter (As per Annexure II)
Relieving letter (at the time of joining the course)
The candidates who have minimum 2 years experience are only eligible for claiming sponsored seats.
No reservation is available for SC / ST category candidates for sponsored seats. However preference will be given to SC / ST candidates in case of equal merit.


For SC/ST seats:

The eligible candidate as per 1.6 claiming the seat under SC/ST category should
submit the certificate necessary to claim the category such as Caste certificate
and Caste Validity Certificate issued by appropriate authority of Maharashtra
state only. The certificate issued by the authorities other than Maharashtra
state is not valid for claiming SC/ST seats.
In case of nonavailability of ST or SC candidates, inter conversion of seats
between SC and ST is permitted as the case may be.

NOTE:

The reservation policy is subject to the Rules & Regulations laid down by
Government of Maharashtra from time to time.
The candidates who have already taken admission in M. Pharm. course at
earlier academic year are not eligible for this CAP.

NOTE:

The reservation policy is subject to the Rules & Regulations laid down
by Government of Maharashtra from time to time.
The candidates who have already taken admission in M. Pharm. course
