    A graduate degree is essential to pursue B.Ed course. The candidates can opt for any subject area for pursuing graduation. You can apply for B.Ed only if you have score 50% marks in graduation level. There is relaxation in case of marks for SC/ST/OBC categories. A recognized institute should be chosen for pursuing graduation. A common entrance examination will have to attend by candidates for getting selection for B.Ed course. You can apply for teaching positions in different schools based on B.Ed entrance exam score.

    For BED Entrance exam you must passee Bachelors degree in humanities and social sciences with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university and having
    studied any one of the following subjects:

    ENGLISH
    HINDI
    SANSKRIT
    URDU
    MATHEMATICS
    SOCIAL SCIENCE

    You must passed atleast two subjects out of the list of the teaching subjects.

    a) you should have any Bachelorís degree or any other equivalent course from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the 10+2+3 or
    11+2+2 pattern,

    or
    with a minimum 55 % marks in aggregate in the 10+2+2 or 11+3 pattern

    b)you should study at-least two subjects, to be later taken as the teaching subjects at the bachelorís degree level with minimum 50% marks.

    c)any Master degree and M.aster in commerce,Philosophy, Sociology or Psychology course from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% .

    d)you should study at least two subjects at the bachelorís degree level,which will you take as the teaching subject.

    FRIEND,

    B.ED stands for BACHELOR IN EDUCATION and the course is of duration 2 years and is pursued to become a Teacher in SCHOOLS for primary and secondary classes.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR B.ED IS:

    1) You must have got a bachelor degree or a higher degree from any recognized university.

    2) You must also have a two year full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school recognised by the central or a state government or a union territory.

    3)That experience certificate should be issued by the Principal, or Headmaster/Headmistress.

    PROCEDURE OF ADMISSION:

    The Admission in the B.ED course is based on an Entrance Test. The test will be conducted in the month of July/August.

    The notification for the exams will come out in the month of April/May.

    There are a lot of Universities which conducts an entrance exam for B. Ed. Entrance for Regular and Correspondence Courses.

    The Duration of the exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes and the exam consists of Multiple choice type questions and the paper also has negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

    There are Five sections in the test of 15 Marks and 15 Questions Each:

    • Part A: General Awareness Test
    • Part B: Teaching Potential Test
    • Part C: General Mental Ability Test
    • Part D: Language Proficiency Test
    • Part E & F: Language Proficiency Test: English and/or Hindi

    A graduate degree with 50% marks is the required criteria for b.ed entrance exam for general categories.....but there is relaxation of marks for sc/st/obc categories.

    Eligibility Criteria for B.ED Entrance Exam:-

    (a) The candidates should have passed B.A./B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc.(Home Science)/B.C.A./B.B.M. examination.

    (c) Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in Bachelor's Degree or in the Master's Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible.

    However, candidates belonging to all other reserved categories should have secured 45% Marks in the qualifying examination.

    (d) The candidates should have completed 19 years of age on 01-07-2012

    B.ED is 1 year course for teaching.before B.ED it require the entrance test .
    Entrance test required the following eligibility:
    1]bechelor degree from a recognized university.
    2]final year student can also apply for this.

    B.ED is one year teaching course available in various universities.
    for B.ED admition it require the entrance test to passed.
    the eligibility of entrance test is as follows:
    bechelor degree from recognized university.
    final year student can also apply.
    D-ed student can also apply for this.

    Those candidate have completed graduation or post graduation from recognized university are applicable for B.Ed course.

    Your graduation or post graduation marks must be hold above 50% . For SC/ST candidate this marks is decreased to above 45% marks.


    Only Arts and Science departments are eligible for B.Ed course.There are some institute provide B.Ed course for B.Com and BBA candidates.


    There is no age criteria so any one who holds the above criteria are eligible for B.Ed course.


    Every university conduct their own entrance exam for B.Ed candidate selection.

    you must have done graduation from well recongnised college with any discipline .

    you must have secured 50% marks in your graduation.

    your age must be within 28 years for correspondence course .otherwise no limit .

    to be eligible you must have these criterias .

    This is a teacher training course whose duration is of 2 years .

    Some of the eligibility criterias for the course of B.ed are :-

    Educational qualification :-

    Your degree must be from any recognized college/university .

    You must have atleast secured 50 % aggregate in your graduation .

    Age limitation :-


    For correspondence course:- your age must not exceed 28 years otherwise there is no age limitation .

    Eligibility for Bachelor of Education through Distance Learning Degree Programs

    Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the course.
