You can either search for technical or non-technical jobs in Merchant Navy. As you are an intermediate, you can be a part of the Merchant Navy as a Deck Cadet. However, if you expect a good career in Navy, you have to study either Marine Engineering or Nautical Science courses. There are mainly 4 Government Pre and Post – Sea training institutes of international standards in India. Educational qualification:

2) have socred not less than 60% (it can't be 59.8 or any other percentage)
3) have PCM in 12th
4) age limit should be between 18 to 23
so sorry you are not eligible for this as you have not scored 60% in PCM as

Student must have PCM as combination subjects fro being eligible for Merchant navy.
Also students passing marine engineering can also take admission into Merchant navy.

Merchant Navy Details:

Merchant Navy is a non combat fleet which is a programme of transporting cargo's,tankers and occasionally passengers through sea.

The three major tasks to be performed in Merchant navy are in the Deck,Engine and catering.

For joining in Merchant Navy the most common ways are by doing the courses like B.E/M.E in Marine Engineering or B.sc Nautical Science.If you do any of these courses then you can join in Merchant Navy.

minimum 60% is required.....
and for the indian airforce you have to complete your graduation first with minimum of 60% marks then you are eligible to apply for the above......

you have not specified which branch you have taken in engineering.
marine engg students are eligible for merchant navy.
