Yes, you can apply for PGT exam conducted by KVS for the post of post graduate teachers. Every year KVS issues notification announcing the number of vacancies for teachers in different subjects. For each of the subject area, PGT exam will have papers on English as it is the medium of instruction, a paper on General subjects and then a paper on your chosen stream. You could be applying for Biology/Biotechnology stream and the syllabus of the exam will cover areas like plant physiology, cell organisation, diversity of planet, sexual reproduction, genetics and so on. You can apply online or offline by downloading the application form from KVS site. Please watch out for notification issued by the KVS for getting more details on the exam.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan conducts this test for those who aspire to the teachers. In order to appear for this test it is a must that the candidates complete their graduation. There will be a notification regarding vacancy in the newspaper. Be on the look out for the same. There are three parts to the test. First you need to appear for a paper on English. Then there will be a paper on general awareness as it is important that teachers keep their knowledge up to date. Finally you will need to appear for subject which you can choose from the list. Since your background is Biotechnology you can select the same. The questions will be related to what you have studied.

    Hello friend,
for PGT after passing out your M.Sc. biotechnology you should have to apply and you have to pass in the entrance exam conducted by institution...
so eligibility is to have minimum 50% in your M.Sc. biotechnology and then should pass entrance exam for it...all THE best.

Re: Eligibility Criteria for PGT test after M.Sc Biotechnology.

kvs, dsssb criterion for PGT exam is post-graduation in any core subject and B.Ed or its equivalent degree.
If you have completed your post-graduation but not B.Ed, you cant apply for PGT exam for KVS, DSSSB.
But if you have completed your 10, 12, B.Sc, and M.Sc with 1st division, you can apply for the exam but you will have to complete your B.ED within three years of joining for DSSSB PGT.
Without B.Ed you can apply for UP, Pgt, there is no requirement of B.Ed after post graduation in UP, Pgt.
